Duet narration!

I really liked this book, the narrators and it was sooo much more enjoyable because it was duet. That’s actually why I ended up choosing it initially and couldn’t stop listening.

Well…

So…some of this is just pain cheesy and immature. There is some suspense and some well done spicy scenes as well. There is also a major **TW** here for sexual abuse. The narrators did a good job. But the dialog was just not ask that believable many times. If the writer was going for a lite mafia rom com with some suspense then mission accomplished. That said, I’m not sure I’ll go on to other books in the series.

Wow…not what I expected (but in a good way)

Going into this after the Rule Breaker series was a stark left turn. Those were very light and cute hockey romances. The elements of the secret society and the much darker elements were surprising but good. I loved getting to know more about Misty after her intro in the Rule Breaker series. Overall, I loved the arc of their relationship and just the overall story. Such a fun (but in a dark way) story.

The book and audiobook are absolutely outstanding the twists and turns the plots and character development are incredible and really bring the book to life!

I love an obsessed man.

Sure, i also didn’t like that the first time we met the MMC he’s (trying) to receive a happy ending but in his defense at that time he and the FMC are not together and his obsession (FMC) helps him along when she walks in. She didnt hold it against him cause its not cheating. And she was kinda into it. 😅😅

Anyways i definitely do not gwt the hate but thats just me.

Even though Misty kinda irked me with her stubbornness at times, but the MMC loved her challenges and it overall worked for this story. I loved how obsessed/possesive/protective Damon was. Will definitely be reading the next book!

Definitely better than expected! I wait to dive into the next three books! Makes me want to check out other books by this author.
