Great story. The MC isn’t stupid and isn’t OP. It strikes a great balance between story and balance progression.

It was ok but not much else.

The weapon was cool but other than that there was a few things like joining a house group, but other than that i didnt find it all that interesting.

Truck-Kun Isekai RPG without the Crunch

Been a fan of Actus for some years now - he’s been on a streak of creating new settings - this one doesn’t have the hard/codified mechanics seen in some of his other works, which is a nice change - the characters, especially the two male leads, have good characterization - Chance is among fastest learning/growing main character in fiction which was a little much for me despite being well explained in the text - I always feel like I’m most engrossed in Actus’ stories when they end, which may be good (draws you in for the sequel) or bad (would be nice to be pulled along so intensely for the rest of the story) - that said, it’s an easy read and a quick listen - this is the first time Actus has used this voice actor as far as I know, so I was a bit thrown off at first, but he’s excellent, so I quickly got used to hearing this combination of prose and voice - another good read - Actus is a prodigious writer, churning out books full of new setting and characters, but I’m looking forward to seeing a sequel to this one soon

good flow to story

disliked the slow start. liked how it picked up the pace after establishing the characters. ready for book 2 now!

Meh

This story is a bit boring for me personally. Nothing about it is bad per se, but nothing about it is particularly riveting. The characters themselves aren’t terrible. They’re just not notable enough to retain your attention for the 16 hours this book takes to complete. Nothing about this story is engaging for readers more experienced with the genre. Mediocre characters, mediocre powers, and mediocre world. This book is worth it if you have nothing else and you get it on sale.
