Publisher's summary

The story of sixteen-year-old Alex Sheppard and his friends is drawing to a close.

Yet again, Scyth, Alex's character, has to do the impossible.

A masterpiece

I’ve waited for this book for a year, and in the month leading up to it relistened to the whole disgardium series. Silly me, I should relistened to the Restart series and level up series too. It ties so many different threads together, answers so many questions about past events, and puts a lot of the series into a new perspective.

It’s extremely rare when an author can keep a self consistent world not only coherent across multiple books, but when you go back and listen to previous books and see the hints that were planned and played up in later books perfectly, that’s when you know you’ve found a diamond.

I loved this book. If you’ve made it this far in the series, you know how incredible it is. Mr. Sugralinov doesn’t just “get to the good stuff” like so many litrpgs, and dump you in the middle of a story about a popular reader analog you can pretend to be. He paces. He builds the story over time. He develops the characters into people with their own personalities, goals, desires. The world feels real and alive, and the time in the game is so well integrated into the time in the real world that it really does read like a look into the future.

And Mr Daniel Thomas May needs to take a bow. I haven’t listened to a book read this well since James Marsters acted out the Dresden Files. Every character has their own voice and is easily distinguishable from every other across every book. He took the book and brought every character and story to life.

This is a masterpiece. I can’t wait to see what’s next in Disgardium and explore the rest of Mr Sugralinov universe.

big surprise review has spoiler

first off this book 12 does not do much with the game world tell the end were 9 starts taking over Disgardium. thing that got me pumped the author made this a crossover book with his series re start were alex meet Mike Hagen from the re start series or knock out re start series an yes phil is mentioned but not in this book so some people that have not listen to that series may want To listen to the Re Start series first were mike first comes in late in the series an then the Knock out re star series is all about him. i think this may be what people are calling the information dump. to me it was very enjoyable do to the crossover an loved how the author went about buy adding the 2 series together

Slow start, but very exciting developments!

This book had some nice twists! Quick note, I didn’t know this was not the last installment, so I was bummed with the slow start and info dump that occurs.

Once exposition was done and everything was in place though, we got back to the action and development that I love in this series! It definitely seems like things will come to an end in the next one!

good, but a bit lacklustre

as a reader of this series and the level up series I find the confirmation of the tie between the two to be great. however as a book within this series it doesn't quite feel like anything actually happened. so little of the story actually seems to have progressed that it hardly feels like a proper book in the series. it serves as more of a massive lore dump and would have been better as part of a larger book. either added to the previous book or as a start to the next book. that being said it is still important enough to the series to need to read it anyway.

Disappointing

This is a setup book or a place holder while the author continues to write. Just being honest. A huge forward plot is unveiled; however, after the info dump, nothing major happens and then it just ends. I’m not saying don’t buy it. This series is great. I’d just wait until the next book is out and then listen to the two back-to-back to prevent being disappointed.

Some thing was missing for me in this story also to short . May be it is just setting us up for the next book . I feeling like they could have made this book longer and more info
