Loved it!

Loved the story! What a lovely way to end the series! The cast of characters were lovely. To watch the children grow up into fine adults. The narration of the story was spot on!

Life is a series of events, pages tell the story.

Oh how I love the Cast Iron family.Heidi Bindhammer has brought these characters to life for me from the start of the series. A trip to NYC brought some great dialects and a love for the narrative gifts Heidi always brings. I have anticipated this book much but saying goodbye to characters I cherish had me in tears often. Watching Mack and Zack grow up was a delight as they dealt with adult decisions in their youth. The family support is a theme throughout the series and even more so now. Love is the language spoke often. Hard work done together using what passions they have makes them amazing folks. The metel work, the forage shop making quality knives. The workshop for wood milling building furniture all make family fun for this group. This series is full of life well lived by characters that I just cherish. The rarest gift a book can give you is to feel family love and a wish to call someplace home. Ali Spooner does that so much but her series fill your heart always. This book takes the reader through the moments in life that fill our hearts with such love. There are twists in life, good and difficult ones, the story is how the characters live through them. I can't say enough about this series because it brings the reader to a time in life rich in love, joy, moments passings both happy and sad. I truly hate that this is the last in the series. I will reread the story of Eli, Whit, Mark, Laura, Mitch, Brad, Zack,Mack, Molly and Cruz because they have a place in my heart.

Family Feels

I am saddened that this is the end of this series. I have grown to love all the characters. Ali has written another great book. I will say that you need to have your kleenex ready at one or more ares in this story. Definitely a must read.
