Publisher's Summary

Hadley Hunter thinks she’s seen everything - okay, maybe not everything but a lot of things - but she’s never seen a cupid convention.

When her good friend Booker’s fellow cupids descend on Moonstone Bay, she thinks it’s going to be fun and games. Instead, it’s mayhem and mystery when a rash of suicides and attempted suicides hit random island residents.

That means it’s off to the races to solve another mystery.

Hadley has been doing a lot of thinking about her life. She wants a career, not a job. She also wants to uncover a murderer. Even though her boyfriend Galen tries to keep her out of the case, she’s bound and determined to be in the thick of things.

Galen’s fears come to fruition when something starts calling to Hadley in her dreams and he’s convinced whatever creature convinced the others to try to kill themselves is now after Hadley.

Between egocentric cupids who are at war with each other, a big mystery regarding the origin of some of Hadley’s favorite paranormal friends, and her own determination, Hadley isn’t giving up without answers.

She’s used to having magical backup at every turn. This time, she’s going to have to fight the ultimate battle alone.

Is she up to the challenge? She’d better be. Everyone she loves is in danger and she’s the only one who can save them.

It’s time to witch up...and she’s ready.

Inconsistencies

Inconsistencies between previous books in a series are a pet peeve of mine so one star off for that.

Good addition to the series

It's interesting to see how the supernatural world continues to expand with each novel.

One issue is the narration of the Grimlock family. While brief, it's annoying that they are read so differently that in the Aisling Grimlock series. While I don;t expect them to sound exactly the same, The characters should act the same.

Read the book first and the narrator ruined it for

Angel Clark has the capability to take a passable book and totally ruin it. Her voices can only convey anger or annoyance by yelling and screaming, literally in your ear. Everyone sounds like an immature child and if you have listened to any of Amanda M. Lee or Lily Harper Hart Books you will realize that every character is exactly the same since the narrator cannot seem to come up with anything but the same character voices over and over again.

Good book when read, atrocious when listened to.

Unbelievable how Amanda can come up with another good book

She outdid herself with keeping you guessing who did it. The story kept me unable to put the book away. As always Angel Clark performance was tops

fun series

The narrator wasn't my favorite, but that's just preference, not because she did a bad job.
This is a cute series that I enjoy, and I will definitely get the next one.

Another great instalment

A Cupid convention is not at all what you might expect and there are a series of dark events, some of which seem to target Hadley.

Love the main characters, Hadley and Galen’s growing relationship and her developing powers.
