Torj and Wren 😍😍

I would say this is more of a 3.5-star book.

I am enjoying Torj and Wren's storyline. I also love that the plot really shows Wren coming into her powers and doing her part to save the realm. After the ending of book 1, I was worried there would be this crazy, unnecessary separation. I was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case! Wren and Torj never pretended to stop loving each other, and Wren was determined to figure out what happened between them. The tension and pining were great to read. One of my favorite tropes is forced proximity, which forces the main characters figure their shit out. Helen did a great job with that in this book.

I also love that while we get a good dose of pining between Torj and Wren, we also lay some great foundation for the finale. I am looking forward to finishing this series! Great book for sure.

I was do excited for this one. The story is ok, the one thing I really don’t enjoy is Torj’s voice that sounds like Snape from Harry Potter at times.

All the Emotions

I love this entire series. The overall storyline is so gripping and intriguing. I felt all the emotions in this one. I’m excited for the conclusion in the next book.
