Sweetpea TV series starring Ella Purnell coming out on Sky Atlantic in October!

Everyone’s favourite serial killer is back, and she’s more unpredictable than ever…

Readers LOVE Thorn in My Side

Sometimes, you can be your own worst enemy…

Rhiannon Lewis thought she finally had it all: thanks to the pandemic she’s had to keep a much lower profile but has found happiness with her fiancé Rafael and his family. For once, she is surrounded by people who love her for who she is (or who they think she is).

After over 800 days without murdering anyone, the woman formerly known as the Sweetpea Killer thinks she might have finally turned over a new leaf.

That is until her soon-to-be sister-in-law has a run in with her abusive ex, and Rhiannon rediscovers her taste for revenge. This time, with a loving family in tow, the stakes are much higher. Wedded bliss and life as a normal person are finally within Rhiannon's reach, but you can never keep a good serial killer down.

Can you?

'Another twisty, turny page-turner with a fantastically dark main character and a corker of an ending. Loved it.' Suzy K. Quinn

“Everyone’s favourite girl-next-door serial killer, Rhiannon Lewis, is back, and she’s more unpredictable than ever.”

I’m thoroughly enthralled by the Sweetpea series, and “Thorn In My Side” is another gripping installment that had me hooked from start to finish. C.J. Skuse has outdone herself with this fourth book, expertly weaving a complex web of suspense, intrigue and dark humor. Rhiannon's character is unpredictable, captivating and terrifying at the same time. Maguire's narration is, as always, absolutely phenomenal. Her voice is perfectly suited to Rhiannon's twisted personality, and she brings depth and nuance to the character that’s captivating. I couldn't imagine anyone else narrating this series – Maguire's performance is truly exquisite. “Thorn in My Side” has its share of twists and turns and plenty of surprises along the way. Skuse’s writing is engaging and immersive, and I found myself completely absorbed in Rhiannon's world. The subplots well-developed and add to the tension and suspense, making this a truly riveting listen. I highly recommend the Sweetpea series as well as Maguire who brings a complex and intriguing character to vivid life. I'm anxiously anticipating the next installment, “The Bad Seeds.” Epic, indeed!

Could so easily be five stars, but I got so sick of the political undertones… Can anyone just make a movie or write a book without having to put in all the political undertones. I don’t give a crap what your political views are… I just want to be entertained by your writing. Probably not going to move onto the fifth book. You should consider changing that.

Would Be 5 stars… but
