Too Short for
The story was too long without any gratification. I would have rather have more of the prison break brotherhood interaction love interest, more interaction with the brotherhood sooner and to find out how the selfie chick at the compound or the prison fits in with the whole storyline sounds like it might be Butch's baby sister. hopefully it will tie up a little better in the next book it's just taking too long for me I'm used to better from J. R. Ward.

One of the Best!
I have to be honest, many of the "other" books that JR Ward writes aren't my very favorites. They're good, but not what I'm typically expecting or love from her BDB books. BUT, I truly loved The Wolf and can't wait for more of Lucan and Rio. These two had so much character and were so interesting! Rio was definitely one of my favorite females ever and Lucan is so fascinating and I need more of him for sure. Part of my love for this book could be the fact that there was more BDB storyline than is typically in these periphery books. There was also some great closure to some folks that we haven't seen in a while. And of course, as always Jim Frangione is THE narrator for anything BDB and JR Ward!!!

Not as good as her usual......
this was a pretty good story however I like it to have a little bit more juice to it. it took a long time to get to where it needed to be and then it just kind of hovered. maybe it's because it's the first in this particular series so it had to set up the rest? I won't be reading it again.

So much like book 1
I really felt this was a melted down version of the first book which was disappointing because I feel like so much more could have been done here.
I’ll read the next one but I feel like this was just an abrupt wrap up in the last chapter when the build up was so much then in the matter of a few pages it just ends. I would give specifics but I hate spoilers.
I’m also not sure how the rest of the BDB was really supposed to tie in here I feel like they are more for form yes I read the end but again I’m the whole thing leaves you wondering if you wasted your time and money or if you want to keep reading

Fabulous
I'm a huge fan of the entire series and it's always hard to choose favorites but this is a top 5 for sure. Ward has outdone herself. A great new romance, a beautiful Jose storyline, and some of the very, very best V/Jane/Butch stuff ever. Just finished it and starting over as soon as I post this. Thank you JR and please keep up the awesome work!
