What a treat

This was such a lovely look at Darius and Ann's story. And a wonderful beginning/end to their time together. 5 stars for the narrator

Now I have to go back and listen to the whole danged series again. I love this book. Excellent job in taking us back in time.

Don't read the epilogue until after Lover Arisen

As a long time fan of the series, I absolutely adored this book. Hearing Darius' POV broke my heart in such a lovely way. For anyone new to the series wanting to listen in timeline order, you can listen to this before Dark Lover with minimal spoilers until the epilogue. Come back to it after Lover Arisen (29 books later)!

The good is back!

I call the first 10 BDB books The Decathlon. The best of all the BDB books. Eleven through twenty two...meh. Darius is like the first ten! The only problem I found was it wasn't long enough. I could have used 300 more pages. I love Frangione!

Been waiting 12 years for this!

It was everything i hoped it would be since i started the series in 2010

loved it

I often wondered how this story would be told and now I know. Although I had suspicions of some things, like, I'm sure we all did, the rest of the story could not have come from anyone other than JR Ward. This is her world and nobody knows it like she does! Fabulous story with great narration!

The Warden did it again!

This Novella felt like a Prequel to Dark Lover. I've always wondered how John Mathew and Darius would Split. I always wanted to know more about Darius life with Beth's mother. I thought it was awesome to find out that The Scribe Virgin had a hand in the whole thing.
It makes sense the She would inhabit Boo's cat Body in order to continue looking out for The Blind King and his Family.

I felt like this was Classic J.R. Ward. Her last couple of books felt like someone else had written them. Hopefully, Lassiter's Book will be as awesome as this Novella. Thanks for this Great Gift, Warden!!🥰🥰

everything I needed to know about Darius, going back to brotherhood 101 and the fight against the lessers, now I can't wait for Lassiter's book I wish I had a time machine!

I cried!

I binged this book in one sitting. it was SOOOO GOOD! I highly recommend it.

Oh boy!!!

This was such a sad but happy story. A great tie in to answer questions from the past. People met that you did know you wanted to meet. Such a great job as usual. Thank you JR Ward. Can’t wait until the next installment.
