but I can take what I find useful and leave the rest. I’ve already applied a lot of their tips for gaining muscle and reducing body fat without losing too much muscle. They work! As a whole food nutritionist I can say The science they discuss is solid, up to date. They promote healthy eating habits, learning what eating style matches your genetics, and listening to your body. Love the keto vs veg angle. And of course it’s not really a competition. I personally alternate between the 2 as a fat-adapted person and thrive. Many of the things they are suggesting are not accessible to a person of average income like getting a dexa scan every month or spending thousands a year on supplements but I wouldn’t let that discourage you as there is so much great stuff here that you can apply at any net worth. Real, whole food is not expensive. Some chapters are hard to follow as an audiobook simply because they need visuals. I will probably buy the physical book after I finish this one so I can follow the case studies more easily. But I have loved listening to this on my hikes. The narrators are great at telling stories and explaining complex science. They switch back and forth frequently which helps with a long listen. I am impressed how much they invested in researching this book. It’s informationally dense and actionable. It really is an ultimate guide.
