a bit juvenile, but right up my alley

a few mispronounced words and a bit of repetition in the writing. that said, the voice artist did a good job with the voices and the story was engaging. I particularly enjoyed the final epilogue - a nice little twist.

Some of the funniest stuff I've ever heard...

The e performance was outrageous! The way he did the background noises and cupping his hands to throw his voice further away like it was coming from a distance, it was awesome! And the story he had to work with... Some of the funniest stuff I've ever heard! :-) I loved this series of books and I think the narrator did one hell of a job with it! He didn't just read what was put in front of him he acted it out!

Story is fun, but the narrator is tedious.

The Tome of Bill stories are a lot of fun, but the narrator tends to use the same emphasis most of the time, and makes the stories tiresome to listen to.

A Fun Ride and an Original Story

I'm not a big fan of the anti hero, but the story itself was fun and endearing.
I was sorry when it ended, but it had a good finale.

enjoyable<br />

I really enjoyed the series from book 1 right through to book 8. I am a little disappointed that I have now finished them as I now have to try and find something that is going to keep me engrossed and wanting to listen at every opportunity. This is not a book for children to listen to due to the strong language but it is also the thing that makes it more realistic and not just someone reading a story to you.

Twilight meets Monty python.

Good if childish storyline spoilt by a narrator who either cannot read or an author who cannot spell. "Height" was pronounced "heighth" on numerous occasions, "vampiric" was pronounced "vamprick" "shone" pronounced "shown" and many other mistakes were made with the narration which made the book very hard to enjoy.
On the positive side, the characters were well created and well defined, and the story was funny and ran at a very fast pace.
