Sara Michaels is the daughter of a prominent senator who has just announced his candidacy for President of the United States - the same senator who has been receiving death threats against his family.

Sara Michaels is also the owner of a self-help clinic and is hell-bent - despite the FBI's warnings - on leading a group of 10 women on a two-week sojourn through the Rocky Mountains.

Whew! Good times

Loved this book and audio! Can’t believe I didn’t read this book sooner. Thank goodness for audible! Or I wouldn’t have known about this book. Bought the kindle and audio! Gerri always tells a great story and Abbey’s narration hits it out the park every time ❤️

I loved The Target. Gerri Hill keeps you on the edge of your seat. Abby Craden does a great job with the narration.

Gerri Hill does it again and loved the narrator. Read it in one day and a half.

It was overall good.

The story was good. I wish the story-teller was a little more enthusiastic. But I got used to the cadence she went with the longer I listened to it.

really enjoyed this book. I read a review that said one should read devil's rock first, but the characters don't feature much in this book and I didn't read that one first. I have read a lot of Gerri Hill books and this was one of my favorites. read it, it's funny, it's heart filled, it's scary, and it's hot!

Fantastic from chapter 1, all the way to the end!

Gerry HillsHill books are always very captivating and she draws you into the story. Abby Creighton narrating was phenomenal once again and I would highly recommend this book.

Not So Easy

Jaime thought the task from the FBI was nothing more than a vacation for her, but she was wrong, so wrong. They sent the wrong detective, as she knew the mountains and how to survive in them while being chased by a sniper. While running and trying to save the group, she and Sara are very attracted to each other, although Sara fights it at 1st.

great book

great character development. interesting twist of story. it felt like I knew the characters. it kept me reading and not wanting to stop listening.

I Loved the book!!

This has to be one of my favorite Gerri Hill books and it was wonderfully narrated by Abby Craden! The overall story drew me in just as much as the slow burn romance between Jamie and Sarah! It was heartwarming, dramatic, nail biting at times and the love forming between them made me tingle! Highly recommended!!!

My fave Gerri Hill so far

Having just discovered Ms. Hill, I've been running through many of her books in the last few weeks. This one made me laugh a lot and feel a sense of fun. For that I'd give it six stars if I could. Dunno how Abby Craden became the voice of lesbian fiction, but she has good character range and reads quite well. Beginning to feel like she's a member of the family. Might have to invite her to Thanksgiving next. As is usual for light crime stories like this, there are plot holes that you can drive at least a Yugo through, but none that interfere too much with my enjoyment of the story. By the end, I was quite invested in both the relationship and the outcome of the action. I felt there was room to get to know the side characters a bit better. Especially since the book is a bit short. Of the ten women, six were just names and felt like props more than characters.
