Good book but...

Tiny Spoilers. Some of the story is definitely cringeworthy. The love story is almost as cringeworthy. I enjoyed the criminal aspect of it but the details are very uncomfortable.
Nicole is pretty awful. Especially at the end. This woman Jake saves her life and she just lets her limp away. Literally. I’m a lesbian and I would never ever let a sexy hero cop leave me. F every single thing else. The love story drags near the end. Completely frustrating. Because I listened to The Target first, I know how it ends. I rolled my eyes multiple times in the last hour. Sorry for the negative comments just be prepared.

The combination of great story and great narration

Gerri Hill never disappoints her books are so good and this one is one of the best.
Someone said to me that even the phone book will be great if Abby Craden will narrate it so when you have this combination it is a bliss

Gerri Hill at her best

From the moment I started this book, it just hit the spot, the way only a good Gerri Hill novel can.
Definitely one of my favourites and a really good mystery to go with a hot romance. Loved the characters and the twists and turns the investigation took. I was totally hooked and at the same time, didn't want the story to end. And Abby Craden making her usual narrating magic - what's not to like? A must for all fans.

Really enjoyed this book. Narration was excellent as was the story. Gerri Hall has become one of my favorite authors. I never lose interest in the story
