Darkness is descending on the small town of Rio Verde, Arizona. An evil older than time is rising from the desert, waiting for night to fall and a reign of terror to begin....

Brad Woods has performed a lot of autopsies, but never one like this. The body is purged of all blood.

Fear has made Sue Wing run from the darkened school and into night, a fear so powerful she can only name it using the Cantonese myths of her grandmother: Cup-hu-girngsi, the corspe who drinks blood.

Reporters like Rich Carter don't believe in the supernatural, but all the signs are pointing to the same conclusion: a vampire is stalking the streets of Rio Verde.

No, Rich Carter doesn't believe in such things. Not yet. But he will come to believe with a faith borne of horror after horror....

Wasn’t actually feeling a vampire book but I knew Little never writes an ordinary trope. I really liked this one. Great pacing is probably the most enjoyable quality of little’s stories.

Well crafted

Not one of my favorite Bentley Little books that’s for sure. Out of all the books that I’ve read of his so far this was my least favorite. There were just parts in this one that just really grossed me out.

It’s okay

Not a bad novel...just slow, slow, slow! Bentley Little is the poor man's Stephen King. Salem's Lott makes this dragging Vampire story look a grade school attempt.

Pretty creepy. Interesting characters. The only part I hated was the hurting of the children. Yes, it made me hate the creature even more which I guess was the point but it sickened me. On the whole, it was good, suspenseful and scary.
