Barry and Maureen have just been approved as tenants by the Association. Pity they never read the fine print on the lease. It could be the death of them....

The Association did not disappoint.

if you love Bentley Little, you will love The Association. In my opinion, not as good as The Store, but very very good.

Boring beyond belief

I'm a patient reader/listener. I prefer my horror atmospheric and slow to build, think M.R. James or H.P. Lovecraft. This is not slow to build, it's glacial. Rather than filling that time building a rich tapestry, this is just mundane detail after mundane, everyday detail with very little progression in the story.

Incredibly for such a poor book, the narration is top notch. The narrator puts the type of effort into distinct voices for various characters I associate with the best in the business.

one of his best

As a long time Bentley Little fan I enjoyed this very much and in fact would consider it one of his very best by a long shot. The story is gradual in build up but I found the twist and turns very well thought out.
