I have read 2 other series of James Hunt and they were also good but this sereis made me cry. Grant was a great character and would love to hear more on this detective.

AGGRAVATING!

The villain in this series was evidently a bon a fide genius because he kepi every law enforce agency running around in circles like keystone cops for 3 books(2 too many). The whole premise was ridiculous. From the systematic torture of the guy that put him in jail by grooming copycats to commit kidnappings & murders for him, the corruption of a corrections officer, the murder of a states attorney, the escape, the kidnapping of a detectives family to the framing of the guy he hates the most. This hell-spawn was responsible for so much death & destruction & then the author has the man he's been torturing for three books worry about dropkicking him back to hell where he belongs. It got to be too much. The narrator was the worst I've heard in a while.
