Love the author

This book is just the beginning. While a stand alone, it is part of a wonderfully spicy world well created. If you like it hot, Tiffany Reisz has quite a few spicy books in the plus catalog to try out to see if she’s for you. The Pearl is not even close to the spiciest.

If you like Anne Rice’s (ahem…Tiff”ANNE”y Reisz, pronounced Rice) spicy novels under the pen names Anne Rampling and A.N. Roquelaure, then this author is up your alley. A fantasy world within the real world…just less pony play. Quite a bit of Rice meets O.

Not as light but still fun and sexy

This is perhaps the darkest of the Godwick books. It still has the mystery, sex and kink but less of the humor.

Still a very diverting and sensual book. I love all of the Godwicks!!

Excellent 3rd installment!

I've come across many reviews that express how this book lacks the fantastical element that was so vividly entwined in the previous 2 books. I must disagree. In a sea of erotic romance where the women are younger, less experienced, and eager for a dominant partner, The Pearl breaks the mold. That is pretty fantastical to me. But that's Tiffany Reisz for you. Always pushing the envelope and breaking glass ceilings. That's why she's my fav ❤

So this is what you can expect:
21-year-old Arthur Godwick must pay off his careless brother's debt owed to our 30-year-old widowed heroine Reagan. As is expected in the Godwicks series, the debt will be fulfilled sexually. This is erotica afterall. Reagan knows what she wants and a submissive man will cover her costs quite nicely. What follows gains its inspiration from historical works of art, all from female artists. Are you seeing a trend here? I do and I loved it! Women for the win!!! But that does not mean our strong heroine lacks vulnerability. There are layers to these characters, showcased in the detailed storytelling Reisz excels at. Fantastical indeed! Check it out.

Full Circle Ending

I love how this third book brought it all together. Tied everything up in a nice neat bow for the reader. Sex, ghosts and art. What more could you ask for?

Steamy book

I enjoyed the characters in this book. Both the main characters had reasons to hold themselves back from each other as well as others. Through a strong draw to each other they fall in love and overcome their stigmas. The narration was good. It was an American narrator doing British voices so that was strange but she did them well. Good series
