Think of it as a modern-day rendition of "Pretty Woman," with some interesting characters and a lot of spice. Be prepared, as this is no ordinary romance. Rather, it serves as an awakening of sorts for the FMC.

🔸While I struggled to connect with the main characters, my goodness, did I enjoy this book! Our protagonist, Aubrey, appeared to have some good intentions; however, she often found herself making bad decisions that she would later regret. Both Aubrey and James displayed selfish tendencies, leaving their actions far from admirable. Their story was a trainwreck waiting to happen, and I couldn't look away. Although the ending felt somewhat rushed, I understand that there's a second book set to continue the narrative, so it seems fitting.

🎧The solo narration was good. I would love for this story to be re-narrated as a duet narration. It would be incredible!

🔸Overall, if you can handle all the spice with "Pretty Woman" vibes, then give this audio a try.

Wow, just wow! This book is perfection from the story to the narrator, the characters and their development. This is definitely worth credit and more!

When I tell you that I was hooked on this story, I truly was.
It is a freaking disaster out of the gate but I think that's why I enjoyed it so much.
I love forbidden romance and the spicy scenes were freaking hot and taboo. I haven't read a story like this in awhile and I remember why I like them so much. So interesting to get into the world of a sex worker. I didn't see any of the surprises coming and I think it's because I didn't read any reviews and the blurb was great at not giving anything away. The ending was beyond emotional for me and I was both sad and angry for Aubrey despite bringing this on herself in some ways. This is a MUST read if you like forbidden romance. I listened to it on audio and it was fantastic. Had to slow the speed down because so much was going on. :)

I really enjoyed this book. omg I live age-gap romances. when things started to fall apart for Aubrey I thought to myself... your a solution yoy get what you deserve.... but money is addictive. I felt bad for the boyfriend... his poor heart. super hot scenes!!! perfect narration... great story.... I loved it all!!!!

My goodness this was a rollercoaster of a ride. I love how Mrs Franco writes the heroine with all her flaws, dirty habits and huge secrets. She equally p!asked me off with the lies she kept telling. Silver fox James is a dirty kinky man and I reveled in all his depraved desires.

I enjoy this author and wish she had more than two titles on Audible. The narrator is excellent! PLEASE don't get a male narrator and spoil these titles, you're doing the right thing now.

That being said, Aubrey / Valentina asks a lot of the listener. She betrays her boyfriend for no good reason, her male real partner who is always honest with her for no particular reason, her hyperloyal best friend for unjustifiable reasons . . . and then at the end makes a stupid, terrible decision and is saved only by a deeply unsatisfying deus ex machina move by one of the characters two years later. She has not learned or earned any of this happiness.

So . . . I enjoyed this in spite of myself. At times the sex was really hot. At other times the author was clearly phoning it in - it could have been a lot hotter. Still, somehow, it all came together.

Puzzling, but fun.

THIS BOOK WAS SOOOOO YUMMY!!!! WE NEED MORE LUCIA FRANCO BOOKS PLEASE!?!?!?!???? omg I could re-listen to this right now...I'm so mad I can't listen to the rest Aubrey and James's story.... I'm really pissed off about that! I hope it's coming soon to Audible??? and the off balance series also would be nice....come on Audible get you shit together please!?!?!???? MUST READ!!! this book has it all... I laughed...cried...and needed tissues not just for my nose if ya get my drift 4real hot damn was the sex soooo good!!!! I want a James Riviera please... sorry to my husband.... love you babe 😘 DO NOT PASS THIS BOOK UP SO WORTH THE TIME AND MONEY .... P.S. Don't forget the tissue, toilet paper, wipes or even a good shower after 😂😉
