Publisher's summary

Griffin is a firefighter, paramedic, and fire investigator with a dark secret — his father is the likely suspect in a spree of arsons in his beloved town of Singer Springs. Once an infamous arsonist in the One-Thirty syndicate, Griffin’s dad was in prison. But now he’s out, and the recent fires match his signature M.O. No one can know Griffin’s secret — not his firefighting family or his love interest, Luna, the daughter of a Massachusetts senator.

With the arson fires getting worse, Griffin must choose between the profession he loves and his devotion to his family. His fellow firefighter adoptive brother, Lodi, proves to be an obstacle, both romantically with Luna, and in his insistence that their dad is innocent. When the fires become personal, Griffin's judgment skews. He’ll have to let his moral compass be his guide — yet his morals keep sending him in all the wrong directions.

Good story

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It was pretty good from beginning to end, I had to listen to half of it before I figured out who the bad guy was. Still I wasn't terribly surprised, but the audio is still worth listening to. And I'm hoping to get the second book soon since this one was continued in the second.

The narration was good but disappointing. The female voices could have been better. still the narrator did a good job with all other aspects of his narrating.

I received a free review copy of this audible. I have voluntarily left my review.

Drama, Intrigue, Romance, and Suspense!

This is the second book in the Scorching Heat Series. Griffin and Luna’s story is intriguing. Griffin, a sexy firefighter, is handsome, smart, and reliable. Luna is lovely, a little naive, and caring. They share an undeniable chemistry. I loved to have both POVs. The storyline is filled with drama, intrigue, romance, suspense, secrets, and twists and turns. The supporting characters are interesting. Weston East did a good job with the narration.

Gripping Story

The One-Thirty is full of drama, suspense, action, emotion. Luna and Griffin share steamy chemistry. There were a few plot twists that I did not see coming. Altogether this was a page-turner that was impossible to put down.

Good Story

the story was good and the twists were surprising. I wasn't expecting the culprit to be who it was. The narration was good for all the mens voices, the women, were brutal, but the cadence was right.

where there's smoke...

A smokin' romance full of mystery, suspense, suspicion and betrayal. A well written romance with our main characters being Griffin and Luna. Both are trying to escape the stigma their families have placed on them. Griffin is a smokin hot fire fighter and investigator while Luna is drifting from passion to passion trying to find her forever footing. The attraction is instant when they meet but family drama and an attempt on Luna's life may keep them apart - forever. A to be continued read / listen which drives me crazy but overall I loved this listen. The narration is well done - loved the accents and the pitch changes to reflect different characters.

Love this story!!

I loved the story and how these two reacted towards one another from the start when I read the story, but there’s something about Weston East‘a voice that just brings the story to life even more. I loved listening to the story and cannot wait to listen to more!!!

Good Arson Mystery but not sexy

Okay listen because of the many players and surprises. Hard to call it a romance when the H and h only kissed during the 3 weeks it took to proclaim undying love. The description of Luna vomiting was more graphic. No blood shed, few swear words, and no graphic sex.
The dialogue was simple and often silly. It was the mystery that kept my interest. Weston East did a good job with individualizing voices, although I preferred his reading voice over his voice used for Griff.
