Love the series!

The characters stay true throughout the books, but the stories can stand alone. The narration is well done.

What a great ride!!

DD BLACK does not disappoint! I love love love this series and can not wait to start the next one.

Triumph over grief

This one is the best of the series. The characters have all of the struggles between corruption, crime, greed, but it also has the struggle and resolution of personal loss, recovering from grief. Realizing the right path forward. Excellent read.

Nightmare at Manhattan Beach

Interesting story. A bit improbable storyline. But if you read the series it wraps up some loose ends and makes you wonder what is next for the hero of the story.

wonder but read others first

this was such a great read. nail biter. and dogs! and terrible villains. it wraps up a number of story arcs from previous books though so to really thoroughly enjoy it recommend you read those first. loved this! yay for Run!

Could not stop listening

Love the story and getting to know all the characters more with each book. Very familiar with the areas where the stories take place, that’s fun.

Loved it . Such a remarkable story and presentation. Makes mundane house work soo much better .

I enjoyed all the twists and turns and the reality of the characters. The narrator was excellant

So satisfying. This is a murder mystery. I would highly recommend.

All of the characters are real the plot was engaging. It wasn’t obvious what was going to happen next. It was just a delightful listen

Abandoned Dying Dog!

Full disclaimer: I haven't finished the book, but the protagonist just abandoned his dying dog to continue his pursuit of a cold case. WTH! He made a decision to stay in New York instead of returning home to his dog. What was the author thinking?! Seriously, the case can wait.
