Lots of twists and turns. My first in series and will follow this character more

Story inside a story

Really enjoyed this book. You are taken along a really good mystery then with the same main characters it blends into a connecting plot. The way it was written I was able to keep it all straight without any confusion

The narrator was really awful. It would have been a great story if not for the very dry monotone narrative.
