well written

The story was captivating. The characters are human and flawed. This was well written and I look forward to enjoying the whole series

Cameras

I liked the story. Performance was great. But 20 minutes into it I am asking what 21st century new parent with some affluence doesn’t have a dozen cameras on their kid and house all backed up in the cloud. I guess the book would have been about 50 pages so ….ok.

I like the characters, will listen to more of these books to see what relatiinships develop

I loved all the characters and the story and the lake setting. Narrative was really good.

I listened to the whole book

I bit cliche and seriously? A 60 year old woman taking down several Police officers and out running several more. Capturing and detaining much younger healthy adults. Not just once but over and over.

I enjoyed it

I enjoyed this audible. The voice wasn't creepy and scary. I will keep up with the series. I hope they stick with this voice.

Great book

First time listening to a D.D. Black novel. Great story and characters. Couldn't stop listening!

Imagery

I loved being able to not just make up the images in my mind but to actually know a place. To remember the beach, the Point no Point light house, how the ocean smells and know how the wind feels. Oh and what it’s like to be in the Hansgrill eating a burger! Only thing I had a problem with is the running from the grill around the point to the bluff in what seemed like less than 5 mins. That’s gotta be some fit and super fast people. Lol

Hard subject

I was at first thrown by the subject matter. I was enthralled by the book, great dialogue and ending!
