Enjoyable listen. believable characters

non of the pretentious sexual interaction and often unnecessary that you get to often from male authors

Could use a male and female narrator

Took a little while to get into the story; having two narrators would make a big difference. Plot twist towards the end.

Loved This One

I'm on book 18 of the Winter Black series, and it's grown a bit stale. Took a chance on this because the book reviews on Amazon are great. I don't understand why the audiobook is rated so low. I love the narrator. The plot was pretty simple, but it was refreshing to read a book where the protagonist didn't have a serial killer or prostitute sibling that creates endless mental gymnastics, like in the other series. This book cut a large portion of the endless repetitive thoughts the other series has, and which bored me. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Good story

While it started out a little slow, it made up for that at the end. Now I gotta get the next one and hopefully find out what happens to the protagonist and whether they get the big fish she wants to take down. Will she stay? I hope so.

I really enjoyed this story and it kept me on my toes all the was through.!
The narrator did a great job. I wish she would have used a lower voice for Rebecca, though. The voice used made her seem little girlish, in my opinion.
The ending was abrupt and that's why the 4 star review. It's obvious that the purpose was to get the reader to purchase another book. Still, a couple more sentences regarding Rebecca's future would have helped so much.

I enjoyed this book. I wish the end was a little different but I thought it was well written and the characters were interesting

Good Story, Kept you Guessing

This story was full of intrigue and the main character gets sidetracked by the old man's club. She starts loosing focus into the actual crime she is investigating, but gets back to businesses and digs in. Narrator does a good job with the characters and entire storyline.

Great character development!

Characters were real! Storyline was believable and moved along nicely! Will probably have to purchase the rest of the series or else you feel like you lost touch with a real friend!!

Good mystery story! Enjoyable listen. Not a favourite but still entertaining. I will listen to more stories by Mary Stone👍🏻
