I absolutely LOVED this fresh, unique, amazing book!!! It had lots of political intrigue, a verrrrrrry slow burn, and twists and turns at every corner!!

Our MMC, Zarian, is the eldest son of another king and destined to lead a secret group that watches over—and “takes care of”—those the prophecy claims will bring ruin.

I originally was going to rate 4.5 ⭐️, just for some slow pacing in the middle, but I absolutely loved the ending so I just had to go back up to the full 5!
