Geralt is a Witcher, a man whose magic powers, enhanced by long training and a mysterious elixir, have made him a brilliant fighter and a merciless hunter. Yet he is no ordinary killer. His sole purpose: to destroy the monsters that plague the world.

But not everything monstrous-looking is evil and not everything fair is good . . . and in every fairy tale there is a grain of truth.

It's a good time to brush up on the The Witcher Saga’s lore and characters. Set in a fantasy kingdom beset with monsters and ongoing war, the series is based on Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy books of the same name. Hailed by some as the Polish Game of Thrones, it features dozens of fascinating characters, and while not every one of them made it into the Netflix adaptation, Princess Ciri of Cintra plays a major role. This article serves as an in-depth guide to Ciri, her backstory, and her powers, as well as introduction to her relationships with the other major characters in the show.

Well written and translated. this book was a collection of short stories to introduce the witcher and his background. I will listen to and read the entire series now, couldn't put this book down.

This was my first foray into the tales of Geralt of Rivia, and I do not regret it one bit. The story is well written, suspenseful and engaging. the characters diverse, colorful and relatable. The voice acting in this audiobook captures the tone and emotion of the narrative perfectly, and portrays the characters superbly and believably.

captivating.

His normal voice is hard to hear. So I turn the volume up. And then when he acts out different and particularly higher pitched voices it’s way too loud. Very frustrating because the book itself is great!

Played the Witcher 3 video game first and thought I would give this audible book a try. I was not disappointed! The book was great and I thought there was great consistency between the platforms. Plus, several of the background stories were explained and now so many more things make sense. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you enjoyed playing Witcher 3, there's a great chance you may also like this book.
