Story
For eons, conquering dungeons has been the most efficient way to become a strong adventurer. Although not everything is as straightforward as it seems. Several questions have always plagued the minds of those who enter these mythical places of power: why are there so many monsters? Where do the amazing weaponry and heavy gold coins come from? Why does the very air fill with life-giving energies? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions, for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Heart.

In a world full of super powers, Felix has a pretty crappy one. He has the ability to modify any item he owns. To upgrade anything. Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game. Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities. With that in mind, Felix settled into a normal life. A normal job. His entire world changes when the city he lives in is taken over by a super villain. Becoming a country of one city. A city state.

At least it's 18hrs?...
Maybe I'm spoiled at this point from the abundance of good offerings in this genre, but this series doesn't cut it. The only saving grace is that it is read by Jeff Hays. The author repeatedly tries to cover lazy writing with snark and profanity. I'm a fan of snark and witty banter from an MC, but this was a sloggfest. Towards the end I was skipping through entire chapters just to be done with the story. There was an idea behind this book. I think the author forgot what it was in book 2. Lazy writing and plot armor ensues.

Absolutely awesome.
Let me start by saying that for those unfamiliar with Harmon Cooper you are in for a massive treat. He's an incredible writer and has crafted many series, most of which are at least partially connected in some way, much like almost all of Stephen King's books partially connected.
Now on to The Last Warrior of Unigaea. This is an awesome 3 book LitRPG series, which makes this boxset one heck of a bargain. As mentioned this is a LitRPG series and it takes place on the world of Unigaea within the Proxima universe, which is the virtual universe that many of Harmon's series take place in. At the start of the first book we meet Oric Rune and his companion, a giant wolf named....well Wolf, lol. Oric is a player killer, a despised class of character within the world of Unigaea, but he's chosen that class for a reason. It's the only way he can carry out his personal mission of revenge, a mission you'll come to appreciate as you learn more about Oric. But as the series goes on his mission grows well beyond simple revenge, morphing into a mission to save the world...or at least to save as much of it as he can, and you'll see he is not a simple player killer, Oric is a true hero. Throughout the journey he's joined by an awesome and diverse collection of characters. Not only does the series tell a great story with tons of fast paced action and great RPG elements, but it has true heart as well. You will come to love and care about these characters. I love Sam Raid!
Now as for the narration, Jeff Hays is one of the most incredible narrators I've ever listened to. He's one of my all time favorite narrators and I've listened to dozens of books performed by him. Not only does he always give each character their own unique voice but he gives each of them their own speech patterns. Listening to one of his books you'd think you were listening to dozens of different people, not one person doing dozens of different voices. Now in this series Jeff is joined by the incredibly talented Annie Ellicott and she does a spectacular job. If you see either of these two or Soundbooth Theater in general attached to any book then you are pretty much guaranteed to be in for an incredible listening experience.
As I started at the start of this review, The Last Warrior of Unigaea is an incredible series and getting the entire boxset for only 1 credit is an unbelievable deal. And once you finish this series you'll be looking for more. The great news is that Harmon has plenty more readily available.

I love this series!
I love love love box sets. Harmon always pulls through with grouped books.
The narration of this title was absolutely fantastic and probably one of the best works I've experienced by Jeff Hays and I am new with Annie but she was also fantastic. This is one of my favorite series by Harmon. The point where death means the death of the character is a real seller for me. I would rate Last Warrior above fantasy online as a fantasy series easily and I only enjoyed other works like the feedback loop as much. I highly suggest this series and this deal.

First book was great, next 2 not so much
I LOVED the first book. Great story and made me laugh. It goes down from there. The second book was meh. Then the third book sucked cause of the ending. The story was alright, but if the second and third book were like the first, this series would be perfect. The narrators were amazing. What a great pair to read these books. They both get an A++ rating and I’ll be looking for more of their books

This was a fantastic series.
The storyline kept me hooked and the characters I grew attached to (especially wolf as I am an animal lover).
The narration was fantastic and really added dept to the story.

I was too disinterested to finish it.
Disinterested best describes my feelings. Being set in an actual game world always acts as a check against books for me, but this was worse than normal. Endless traveling, descriptions of the world and combat. And none of it I could bring myself to care about. I couldnt finish the book and it took a while for me to get to the review so Im struggling to remember specifics.

Decent fantasy story
For a LitRPG it did not have a LitRPG feel. Good solid fantasy story with decent characters set in a "game". If you love fantasy and having trouble finding a decent book to read pick this one but nothing extraordinary here either.

3 audios of excellence for 1
The Last Warrior trilogy is a great find as it's 3 times the fun and excitement and with the emotional and Intense story of Oric, Wolf, Sam amd Deathdale this is a roller coaster and a treat to the ears.
As with any LitRPG this is for most a tale of politics, revenge, action and a good tie in with other Proxima world stories from Cooper. The politics are very easy going and the twists we have are very well done.
The skills of Hays and Ellicott are well matched with the characters and SBT always does a good job I have found.
I asked for this audio and have left my thoughts on this for you to peruse.

this book just got better
box sets should be a way of life! what's better than one book? well the answer is 3! now you can get the whole series just for one token.
this story is the first that I have heard were there is more than one narrated and this works really well!
the story mixes it up with action, fantasy, mystery, intrigue and a little bit of romance. it tracks the story of Oric and his companion wolf on an epic quest to find the source of a plague that is destroying the world.
soundbooth studio has also pulled out all the stops again and made this the masterpiece that it is!

Everything Jeff Hayes narrates turns to gold.
I need to remember Harmon Cooper writes Gamelit, not LitRPG. Yes, there's a difference. I've listened to or read a few of Harmon's books and like them for the most part. This one follows along the lines of the others I'm familiar with. It takes place in his Proxima Galaxy, like all of them do, but a different world. Like many of Harmon's books, there doesn't seem to be an arcing plot to it until almost the end. It's more of some semi-random battles that slowly points you to a plot. If you're into Gamelit, this probably isn't that big an issue. It wasn't for me. The main character is likable enough and of course Jeff Hayes does a brilliant job. I doubt I would have given it more than 3 stars if performed by anyone other than a handful of narrators.

Slow and some how uninformative
Three hours in and we know two and a half characters one of who is the MC the other is his wolf. A few towns and that this is a general high fantasy game world a couple of the factions. MC has revenge as motivation that's it how is this both slow and uninformative. Usually its one or other but this is both still i have bought it so will stick with it but I dont recommend.
