Awesome Story.. Disgusting, unnecessary language.

I would've given 6 stars, but for the cursing. All the foul language made me queasy.

what a fantastic series...the characters draw you in and I found myself getting upset when someone dies.......cant wait to hear the next series

I took a chance on this book. It’s hard to turn down the omnibuses. This one is well worth your time

300 years from day of the virus

What would it be like after a virus wipes humans almost out but what caused the virus and what happen to the survivor. Most of the human race is wiped out and the great cities are laying in ruins and the virus effected lives there and these humans are cannibals and hunt in packs and kill any humans or animals and then eat the kill raw. For the humans not effected they live as in the dark ages under military rule with an army with both horsemen and calvary, they have religious order but it teaches only a scripture of survival and of the way to live as modeled in Catholicism of two persons who survived and started a new style of living and created the first town with high walls and a gate. Then around the wall there was simple homes made of stone of fallen buildings or the remains of building incorporated into homes, stores and other needed buildings. The government was runned by a general, and a three man counsel who made the rules and dish out punishment. Ever six month men and women stripped of their clothes to be inspected for the sores and other marking of the virus. The ones who was thought to be infected was either beheaded or burned alive no matter who they were.
From the day of the virus to the present time approximately 300 years was a period of wars both a modern army up to a middle age military of horsemen and calvary.
Now for the virus it was a human made and it was cure for a human toe fungus but in dissecting the fungus DNA and redoing the DNA with other DNA at first it worked as it was supposed but then started effecting the human that used the cream started turning into a zombie with knots, open sores and then start killing and eating humans.
The author and narrator did an awesome job in writing the story and the narrator bringing each and ever character. I highly recommend this auibal book I am sure you will enjoy the story.

Surprising!

I listened to this series because I ran across "The Ruins", and wanted to make sure I knew what was going on, so I listened to this one first. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. There were some stretches made that sort of made you roll your eyes, but overall, it was a very good 50 hours.

of course it's a bargain, but it also delivers! Don't regret the purchase, a few surprises and many opportunities to stop and think...
