I don't really do reviews, but Sarina, Teddy, and JF made this an instant favorite!

Great story

Love love love Sarina Bowen and her hockey boys. This was a great listen and I absolutely could not put it down. Jethro and clay were so cute and their story was great to listen to.

Absolutely loved it!!!

I have loved this entire Hockey Guys series, and this was probably my favorite of the three so far. Clay and Jethro are terrific characters, super likeable and it was great to finally really meet Clay. Teddy Hamilton and JF Harding were wonderful performers and brought these guys to life. I enjoyed this audio so much, I went back into my library and re-listened to The New Guy and I'm Your Guy and then listened to The Last Guy on Earth again! It was just as enjoyable the second time around and I picked up on little details I missed the first time. One reviewer complained about too much hockey, and I could NOT disagree more. Sarina Bowen is the reigning queen of the hockey romance genre because she does it so darn well. I hope Sarina never stops writing about all our favorite hockey players no matter who they fall for! Bring on more Brooklyn Hockey and Hockey Guys #4 please!!!

Narration

Great narration. I enjoyed the story but didn’t fully believe their love story. It felt as though they were nothing and then all of a sudden were in love again. I did enjoy it though and the flashbacks were done well in my opinion.

Best one yet!

So good. I may have cried a couple of times. Every time I think Sabrina won’t be able to make me fall in love with new characters she does it again.

Another winner from Sarina Bowen

I've got a lot of love in my heart for Sarina's hockey series, and this was a lovely addition to the series. I'm not sure if this is a trilogy, but I'm kinda hoping there might be another one in the series at some stage. Maybe that's just me being greedy.

Jethro is a player who might be coming to the end of his career, and a last minute trade with next to no notice is the last thing he needs because not only is he the legal guardian of his nephew, but his sister is in rehab and his father is a recovering alcoholic. Oh and the team he's going to? That's coached by Clay, the guy he was really hot and heavy for when they were both starting their hockey careers. It really is one of those record scratch "I suppose you're wondering how I ended up here" moments.

Their attraction got put on ice due to a situation that neither of them had a chance to address way back when, so they are reunited with a whole lot of assumptions and hurt feelings. That takes a backseat to the attraction that has been waiting to boil over once they're in each other's vicinity again. There's some homophobia on the side, and a coming out scene that is really well dealt with, particularly as an example to doing it in front of a younger person, who is way more accepting than the older generation.

Anyways, this is a great second-chance romance, and if you liked the previous two, you'll love this one. That's a given. I adored it.

New favorite audiobook!

Fabulous add to this series! The storyline of the main characters was so full of love, endearment, some angst and a lot of hotness. It truly is one of my new favorite stories!

Teddy Hamilton and JF Harding were perfect narrators.

The best in the series!!

This was the book this series needed!! What a touching story from so many angles. Tissue alter at Chapter 35! The story of Jetty & Clay is amazing but the side story of Jethro’s sister, nephew, & dad is well done! And Clay’s sister and her humor are the perfect amount of snark needed!

An improbable renewal of early love?

I enjoyed the narration. The story is a bit reminiscent of the author’s prior hockey story. Overall worth the listen.

Loved the entire series

Who doesn’t love a good m/m hockey love story? Not too much angst, some schmexy scenes (not very graphic). But the love that comes is so strong and there is a HEA. The voice acting is top notch.
