lots of twists and turns!

When you spend as much time as I do with a audiobook in your ear, you really want a pleasant voice and a story that keeps you interested. This book succeeded in that. the story was good, as well as the narration! I would recommend this to anyone who is not looking for the same'll story line.

very different .

I was given this audiobook free of costs & in return I offer my unbiased review . This audiobook is mainly about a reporter assigned to investigate & do a story on a sect/cult in New Mexico . What follows is curious , strange , bizarre , weird , it involves drugs , sex , suicide , it's funny & very different but also sometimes depressing . I'm sure many people will love the quirky twists that this story has , I found it hard to follow at times so for me it was three & a half to a four stars . The narration was good .

What did I just read???

I think this is the worst book I have ever read. I have no idea what the point of the whole thing was supposed to be. I would have DNF'd, but I hoped I would get some answers. Nope. A book by Hunter S. Thompson would have made more sense. If I had been reading a physical copy, I would have quickly skimmed to the end to see what happened. Since I was listening to the audiobook, I didn't have that privilege.

The narrator was pretty good, but couldn't save this one from being a huge waste of time IMO. And, if you don't know how to pronounce the name of a town (Las Cruces), ask somebody or check the Internet.
