Great story

This was a very well written story about an extremely relevant topic. I loved getting a peak into what it’s like working in big law. I honestly didn’t want this book to end. Definitely recommend!

loved it. each chapter made me not want to pause, but continue to see what was going to happen next. really enjoy this narrator

I don't think

That one tiny bit of mystery qualifies this book for the category. it's ok overall but it was hardly a mystery

Couldn’t turn it off

Well told story about power, sex, and competition in the workplace. I couldn’t turn it off. Another fantastic narration by Julia Whelan!

this one....

This story gripped me. I have never felt so exhausted or frustrated as I have listening to this story.
I am a workaholic. I spent way more of my life at work than I should have and missed much of the time with my family that I can not get back. I empathized greatly with this character. I didn't end up rolling tho lol.
Alex is likable and gullible and hard working to a fault. As the reader I could tell she was spiraling down and the twist toward the end was not unpredictable. we all knew Peter was bad news..lol

good book unlikable protaganist

this was a good book no fantastic surprises but a good story with a unlikable protagonist. it dragged here and there but overall I found this story satisfying. she did not deserve the nickname skippy tho as she was far from being so sweet and wholesome. I found her pretentious and throws away things of value for fairness and pretentiousness.

the ending was boring but at least it was not some fantastic revelation. I don't like those overdone surprises except when they arereallly good like in Thomas Tyron's the other.

Excellent story & excellent narration

5-stars across the board! Very engaging story, never bored - from the first paragraph. Loved the Narrator. Great voice, didn’t whine or sound like a robot. Appropriate inflection on parts of the story and emotions without sounding cheesy. Perfect change of voice with each character without going too far and sounding corny. The storyline is timely, well thought out and not overly predictable. Timely because we have been talking about sexual harassment and assault in the workplace for less than 20 years now and this brings more awareness to a huge (still overlooked problem). I’d fit hasn’t happened to you personally, I guarantee you know one (or more) person it has happened to.

Everything about this book was great. It really hit home for me in my profession. Awesome narration!

I hope this brings light and change to the injustices women encounter in the workplace.

The narrator is fantastic. The story was great and kept me intrigued throughout. We get a glimpse of working in a mans world where they take advantage of those they can. Good book great narration
