The story was twisty

I loved this book. First time reading more of Samantha’s books. The end was fantastic.

The constant guess who through the 3 1/4 of the story.

This was the intimate mystery. Just when I thought that I'd figured out who done it there was a twist. I loved it!

Good summer reading

Really enjoyed this book, would definitely recommend. Was able to hold my attention and want me to continue to listen to the audible book to the end. Finished in two days.

Human trafficking is so awful

Good performance. There were a lot of twists and turns. The sad thing is this could have been a true story.

Very dark

It was disturbing. The characters were horrible people. Human trafficking. I don’t have five more words.

Not my favorite

The narration wasn’t great, the story was boring and predictable, the storyline implausible. I wouldn’t waste a credit on this one.

Misogynistic female detective

I'm not very far in. I'm actually trying to force myself to listen. I'm getting tired of misogynistic female detectives with a chip on their shoulders. There is a way to write a strong, suspicious woman detective without
making her as judgemental and petty as a high-school student. Hopefully this gets better.

very unexpected twists

this was an amazing read love unexpected twists, beautiful ending there are some slight triggers

Emma

great twists and surprises throughout the story. the detective, Rossi, got on my last frigging nerve. I just kept wishing she would stop focusing on Emma. that really was the only thing about the story I didn't like. it was a perfect story though. I love Emma!

Good storyline; kept me interested and wanting to know more the whole time.
