Disturbing

This is advertised as a thriller but really it's a bunch of people reacting very strangely to what is clearly a child predator. As a child psychologist, it was infuriating!

Great story

I really enjoyed this book. It had a few good twists but even when you know what's coming it's a great read.

Loved it!

This one drew me in from the start and I could not stop listening. One of the twists is predictable early on, but you still want to see how it plays out. I did not predict the ending though. I thought it was an excellent book!

The Plot!

I would never have imagined-but talk about stay on the edge of your seat.

This is definitely worth the read. Really enjoyed it.

Surprising read

I’d like this book a lot. it gave me a lot of anxious moments throughout the book. Which I enjoy. The ending was a little too wrapped up in a bow. But I still liked it overall.

Never-ending book

I really thought this would never end. I figured out all the “secrets” early on. The narrator did a really good job though!

I couldn't put it down!

This story kept me on the edge of my seat at every turn. The story was read in a way that captured each character and moment.

Excellent story, highly recommend

This book is excellent, well thought out and it unravels at a steady pace, as it’s quite long (although, after the book there is an hour long interview with the author which is very interesting and enlightening). The story is hands down domestic noir with hints of mystery and thrill. You’ll figure out or be able to speculate what’s happening early on but this might be more of a strategic intention by the author. This works for the plot because the mysteries in this book aren’t to find the truth or who did what or what exactly occurred — its suspenseful because you’re on eggshells wondering when and how the characters will react. There were times where the characters were irritating and I couldn’t stand them, but I think it just speaks to good writing as the character development is vast and thorough so all their decisions and actions make sense. Lastly, the narrator does a phenomenal job of narrating and projecting poignant emotions and attitudes.
