Daphne gets her book!

This is the 2nd book in the Smalltown Sisterhood series, and this time we get Daphne and Oliver. Oliver just happens to be Daph's sister's ex-fiancé. They meet while he's running away from being a billionaire with a horrible family. Her family is probably worse.

There's good banter, and it's definitely a slow burn, but it doesn't have the dreaded 3rd act breakup! Pippa never disappoints, and this is no different.

Jason Clarke & Mackenzie Cartwright did a great job in the duet narration, and they had great chemistry.

4.75 overall, low spice though.

A fabulous and fun grumpy/sunshine listen.

I loved Daphne in the Spite Date and was so happy to see her get her HEA. Daphne and Oliver are definitely opposites and the attraction builds from the start. Following along with Daphne and Oliver on their wacky and chaotic road trip was the highlight of my winter break.

Pippa once again gives us fabulous, well thought, funny, and emotional characters. I cried a little, laughed a lot, and smiled the whole way through. I couldn't put the book down, and the dual narration was amazing!! I started the book before the Audible version was released and listened to the last 3rd of the book. I will start the Audible version from the beginning tomorrow.

My favor ite of the grumps!!

Oliver is my new favorite grumpy billionaire (sorry Hayes!), and Daphe is equally wonderful. What a fun listen from beginning to end. Can't wait for the next story. (Margo?!) 11/10*

I love these two!! Frenemies to lovers

I was fortunate enough to receive an advanced audio copy this book & once again Pippa writes 5-star romcom, amazingly narrated by Mackenzie Cartwright & Jason Clarke.

Oliver is a billionaire on the run from his family business & just happens to be Daphne’s (from The Spite Date) sister’s ex-fiancé. Much like Daphne, he doesn’t agree with his family’s lifestyle & wants to do good with his money. Daphne unwittingly joins Oliver on his cross country donation trip & in usual Pippa fashion, hi jinx and shenanigans ensue!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The story line is fun.

I think the world needs fun reads and this is definitely one! Who doesn’t need a good book?
