Wonderful spinoff

Arielle and Jaxson's story is perfect. The narration is terrific. I can't wait for the next book.

Missed a few beats

Longer than it needed to be. It began to drive on after a while.
The antagonist never got what was coming to her. There should have been one big confrontation. Lack of communication for annoying.
The voice actors were good but this really called for duet narration. At the beginning of each POV they repeated the last few lines… with became cringy with cross gendered voice.
A nice story with a good ending. Would have liked a better proposal. The story they are setting up for sounds more interesting than the one they’re in.

Cute Story

Cute story. Ariella is like all her sisters and cousins-a bit immature stubborn but faithful.

Sometimes the soulmate was there all along

Children of two hockey families grow up and when thetime is right discover they are attracted and can be more than friends. This is a third generation and made me want to reacquaint with the parent's story. Madison does a great job of providing a few "memories of childhood " to fill in on the intervening years but would have loved a few more refreshers of the parents and aunts and uncles. Nice to see another generation of HEA though the minor drama was totally expected and predictable. Highly recommend for Madison fans or fans of sports romance.

Jaxon is the son of Manning and Evelyn (Only One Night). He is a star player in the league for LA. Ariella is the daughter of Ralph and Candace (Only One Kiss). She lives and works in New York. The two grew up together because their dad’s played for the same team (Dallas), but Jax was older so they weren’t close. Fast forward to a fundraiser event in Dallas, where they run into each other after having not seen one another for a few years. Their chemistry is off the charts and they decide to enjoy one night together in secret before they both go back to their respective sides of the country. Unfortunately what happens one night in Dallas doesn’t stay in Dallas, and two pink lines determine that their one night wasn’t meant to be just one night.

Ariella decides to fly to Jaxon in LA, but circumstances keep getting in the way, via crazy ex girlfriends, miscommunications, and fear. When Ariella finally gets the chance (and the courage) to tell Jaxon what’s going on, Jaxon wastes zero time trying to show Ariella that he wants her and the baby to be his forever. They try to keep their relationship a secret from their families, but secrets don’t stay secret for long, especially when you’re a part of the crazy that is the Stone/Grant/Horton Hockey empire.

I loved this story and I am always here for anything from the Natasha Madison universe that includes the second and even third generations, especially when beloved characters from previous books make cameos!! Natasha is also the queen of passive aggressive cliffhangers and Easter eggs for the upcoming stories!! And OMG I cannot wait for the next book in the series, seriously just leaving us with “Can I come stay with you”?! Cruel and unusual punishment!! Plus Kirby?! I loved him and I am so excited for him to get his own book!!
