Publisher's Summary

Darcy's closest friend and fellow witch, Starla Sullivan, hoped she'd never see her ex-husband, Kyle, again. Two years ago he tried to kill her, and he has been a fugitive ever since. Now Starla claims to have seen him back in Enchanted Village, but it seems she's the only one who can see him. To everyone else, her ex is invisible. Darcy only wishes his motives were as transparent as the rest of him. Since the police can't arrest someone they can't see, it's up to Darcy to find the secret behind Kyle's latest disappearing act - before he does something they can't see coming.

Best one yet

Best in the series so far. Just purchased the next one to listen to this afternoon. This one has some unexpected twists and turns, and is worth a couple of Kleenex in the second half. Only part of this is for sadness, and much is for happiness. Mrs P plays a larger role, as does The Elder. And there's introduction of a new familiar at the end. Great book.

Disjointed

This one was charming but seemed a bit disjointed. Good subject matter, death, betrayal, abuse, etc. But the story didn't flow like the earlier books in the series.

Another good read in the series

I breezed through this book, I just fly through cozies! I loved the way things are developing in the village! I was again bored with the gratuitous recapping. Every book draws you more into the Enchanted Village and entrenches the denizens more into your heart.

This book gives more backstory for Starla and her love life. We have the mystery with her Ex and complications with her new relationship. There are so many things at play here. It wasn't was intriguing as the last book but it was an entertaining read.

This book as very much about relationships, Nick and Darcy, Glinda and Nick/Mimi, Starla and Kyle, Starla and Vincent, Ve and her latest flavor. Lots of side plots going on beside the main murder plot. A few things were obvious, however others managed to surprise.

The audiobook narrated by Coleen Marlo is well done. I think my ears are now used to her after devouring three books straight. I am settled into her vocal quirks, they seem less now, maybe she has been working on them. I do enjoy her pace and energy in the story. She moves swiftly with the story and makes for a more engaging read.

This book moves things along in the Enchanted Village. I am super curious who the Elder really is, will we ever know? I will have to jump right into the latest book in the series!!

Loved it!

I can't get enough of this series. The characters, emotions, situations and happiness are too much to take at times, but I will continue! On to the next story in the series!

Fun and entertaining

A good listen as I travel the highway. Mystery with elements of magic. The 3rd in the series I have listened to or read. I definitely prefer listening to this series rather than reading it.

Just keeps getting better

Amazing Author and even more amazing series. The character growth and interactions never miss a beat and I love all the little surprises. Darcy is once again flung into another murder to solve but this time with the blessing of the Elder. Which puts her arch rival Glinda's nose out of joint even further with her. Oh yeah...the jealousy still oozes from her over Darcy.

Given this time the murder is pointing fingers at Darcy's best friend Starla, Darcy goes out of her way to solve it. It all embroiling Starla's X husband and he being the corpse found in Starla's home. Ooops!

Also, the side story with Mrs. P, Archie and Pepe continue on and it is one heck of a side story....I'll just let you hang on that and read the book.

The book as a whole didn't drag, didn't dull one moment. There were the, "Oh no you didn't!" moments and "Oh heck no!" ones too and let's not forget the a few tears and sniffles at one point.

Read it...it's not a disappointment....I do suggest that if you haven't read the previous ones...read those first....you'll understand more. :)
