Again, with the magic...

Firstly, I LOVE Amanda Leigh Cobb, she's easily one of my favorite narrators. That said, I don't love the male narrator, Aiden Snow. His voice seems all wrong for this series, making the characters sound much older than they'remeant to be, and his British Accent is as wacky as Andrew Tate.

Irrespective of that, Carissa Broadbent brings us yet another masterpiece. This is not up for debate. Alongside SJM, she is my favorite romantasy author, and one that I always pre-order without question. This book, as with all her others, is well written without seeming pretentious, evocative without feeling forced and spicy without being cliche. I'm beginning to wonder if she's not "god-touched" herself.

I laughed, I cried, I seethed and I swooned. Impeccable. Can't wait to see where she where she takes us next!

Amazing

I loved Mische and Asar’s story so much. I cannot wait for the next book! It was so exciting to get to experience all of the other beloved characters from the other books all come together. I am a life long fan of Carissa Broadbent she is an amazing author.

Simply Amazing!!!

This was so heart wrenchingly beautiful! Mische and Asar deserved all the most wonderful things that the world could offer them, and this book embodied absolutely everything I’d hoped it would. My heart was pulled from my chest, ripped apart, put back together, cut up again and then seated together it a brand of permanency. I will hold this story in my heart forever. Truly an amazing and achingly beautiful story. How Carissa does this every single time is beyond me, but she is the true Queen of Nyaxia. This was truly brilliant!

As always, the narrators have successfully helped bring Carissa’s world to life with their wonderful voices and I think they both need a raise! Well done!

Such beautiful writing

I adored this story, so much happens here and I am so ready for the House of blood stories

This is the completion of the second duology and 4th of this six book series. This is the completion of the Asar and Mische story and boy was it a doozy. While I liked the third book (the beginning of Asar and Mische's story), it was probably my least favorite of the series at that point. I was really hoping that this next book would bring me back to the feelings I had with the prior books and I'm happy to say....it did.

This story is way too complicated for me to easily summarize so let's just say that there are tons of involvement from several gods, the underworld, along with magic and monsters.

One of the things I loved the most was that we got to see so many characters from prior books that we have come to know and love - and a couple from the novellas as well too. Definitely made my day.

The narration by Amanda Leigh Cobb and Aiden Snow added to the drama and they both did a wonderful job. Now that we've had the House of Night and the House of Shadow, looks like the House of Blood is up next :)

Love the world of Nyaxia!

I really enjoyed this book. The narration was excellent, but I am hoping the rest of the series will be done in duet narration. It was a little slow, for me, in the beginning, but once it got going it kept me enthralled. I absolutely love Asar, such an excellent MMC.

Very enjoyable

This was a story I enjoyed and will definitely read again. I like how well written and detailed things were laid out. I never felt bored or confused throughout reading this book.

Phenomenal story, terrible FMC narrator

Carissa is absolute BAE. I will always devour any book she releases. I absolutely loved the story and the finale of this duology. If I wasn’t already so invested in the story, I would have DNFd the audible so quickly. Yes, the FMC is supposed to be happy and bubbly, but the narrator pitch was so strained and obnoxious. Very disappointed. 😢
