Publisher's summary

Play To Win . . .

It's the ultimate game-the adrenaline surge of the hunt, the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat. For in this game, the rules are simple: To win, you only have to kill. To lose, you will have to die . . .

Play To Scream . . .

The victims are former beauty queens found with a single rose beside their bodies. Lindsay McAllister has seen this signature before, when she was a rookie detective with the Chattanooga PD investigating the death of Judd Walker's wife, a murder that sent the handsome lawyer off the deep end. Now, Lindsay has the brutal task of telling Judd that his wife's killer has struck again, and she's going to need his help to outplay their opponent-because the killer is getting bolder, faster, and more ruthless. The game is escalating, and no one is safe.

Play To Die . . .

Now as the body count rises, the rules are changing. A killer will do anything to win. And the only way for Lindsay to stop a madman's twisted game is to play it herself . . .

Contains mature themes.

Good story BAD narrator

Claire Duncan is absolutely awful to listen too. Weird breathy nasally voice and extremely bad at knowing where emphasis should be

I wanted to love this story BUT.....

The fact BB wrote the character of Lindsey as such a sad, pathetic, desperate, lonely, loser of a woman? I mean my God, she is open to being physically, verbally, emotionally & spiritually abused by Judd & keeps coming back to get kicked in the teeth time & time again. She admits to him nearly raping her, him not loving her, him emotionally tormenting her AND YET this stupid woman constantly confesses her pathetic love for this a-hole!? She even says, "I know you'll never love me Judd, but I love you damnit, my heart yearns for you!?" She openly says she'll continue to be his punching bag & it's ok with her if he never loves her as much as he loved his precious Jenny. Gag!! Who says that? A sad, lonely, stupid, desperate, gross, idiot woman. It's makes me sad that BB wrote Lindsey's character & thought, "yes, this is good!" Makes me want to shake her & say, "learn to love yourself & get some self esteem already!"
Everytime I hear interactions between her & Judd, I want to scream & throw my phone. Does she have no one in her life that loves her enough to tell her to walk away & get some damn therapy to fix herself. She's so needy & pathetic it ruins the book for me. STOP WRITING FEMALE CHARACTERS LIKE THIS, ITS DISGUSTING! As you can tell, Lindsey & Judd ruined this book for me.

the worst book i have listened to in the past year

i enjoyed several of her books before, not all. i took a chance on this one...it has been a torture...i kept fast forwarding the book to just get to the end of the story, because I felt bad wasting the credit. please do not make the same mistake. i kept rolling my eyes throughout a very cheap and pathetic so called romantic story with the serial killer on a back burner...so very bad...sorry

horrible

i enjoy stories by BB but this one was a little too boilerplate. A strong narrator might have been able to salvage the story but this one, sadly, had the skills of a parent reading a fairytale to their children. I struggled to listen to this for 5 hours before I conceded my 1 credit.

Graphic Violence

I loved the main characters of this book, and would have loved to keep following them, but the violence and brutality was so graphic that I doubt I will continue.
