A twisty plot. Loved the characters and the story line. Couldn't wait to get in my car and turn it on

Consistently interesting

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I wasn’t sure I would from the description. I’m rarely in the mood for feminist tracts, and the idea of a novel based on the power women come into after passing through menopause seemed iffy to me. But I was wrong! It was diverting, imaginative, and suspenseful throughout. Yes, it did incorporate elements of the sociological drivers behind witch hunts, and other forms of female persecution, but the women in the book were well-realized characters with powerful motivations in addition to their “feminine powers.” I loved reading about this sisterhood and about the ways they brought vengeance down upon those who were horrible people in general, as well as solving the mysteries behind a (rather large) number of disappeared teenage girls. Satisfying, very funny at times — this book was a tonic in itself.

This book os amazing and all consuming. The big event near the end is disturbingly contemporary; you will understand what I mean when you get there!

Amazing Story, Outstanding Narration!

Nobody could tell this story as authentically and beautifully as January LaVoy. This was an absolute binge listen. I see a lot of comments about this being a man hater book. It is NOT a man hater book. The only men hated in this book are the crapheads who do crappy things and deserve what they get.

The book is amazing and when I finished it I just wished I had a super power too. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to truly let a great story take them away.

Inspiring, good narration, interesting characters.

I liked the story overall, got me thinking about life and how we choose to live it. I liked the characters and their friendship- the whole idea of women owning/ developing their power and justice being served. The narrator is great, and I loved the setting of the story. Sometimes it seemed to move a little slow for me but by the time I was finished, I didn’t feel that way at all. I recommend this book - especially to women of any age.

Surprisingly violent and dark

I’ve read this author before, and I enjoy her books. She is a great storyteller with compelling plots. However, this one was a bit too violent and dark for my tastes. Great narration, however

A book of power

This was fantastic! It held me enraptured from the very start. It hit all the nerves, I think every women can relate. I salute the author!

Finally, a book about menopausal women kicking ass without apology.

I enjoyed the story. There was a bit of a twist and the female leads sounded like people I know. It’s about time justice was served by women who no longer cow-tow to the self serving rules of a misogynistic society.
