From the author of the Terminate the Other World! series comes a thrilling dungeon-core fantasy adventure sure to generate a lot of buzz . . .

Belissar has always lived a peaceful life, if not a particularly easy one. Though he lost his parents, he was taken in by a kindly villager who taught him his life's calling: beekeeping. But one day the local lord's ruthless son, Ruckanos, comes to their humble village to claim his own tower, slaughtering everyone.

Luckily for Belissar, as he lies dying with an arrow in his back, a tiny worker bee decides to interfere, and he wakes up not only alive but a whole new bee-ing. Turns out his little savior is in actuality a core, and together they've swiped the tower out from under the murderous Ruckanos.

Now Belissar is king of his own beehive/dungeon. But with power comes more trouble than he could've imagined. In addition to building and protecting his own monstrous apiary with the help of his fellow bees, he must confront the encroaching doom known as the Hunger that haunts the world and consumes everything in its path, leaving only death.

A stronger, smarter, more confident, and far less peaceable Belissar is about to show his enemies that when you mess with a hive, you'd better be ready to get stung.

The first volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with more than four million views on Royal Road—now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!

I really liked the narrators voice, as I listened to the terminate the other World Series (she is the same narrator) I fell in love with her voice, 10/10 would listen again.

The narration

It was interesting and safe for work. It’s hard to find both. Lots of fun

I enjoyed the book so far but the Narrator keeps falling into a thick (Boston?) accent, I don't mind, just wish she would pick one or the other.. otherwise it's a good performances 👌

I liked the POBees and how they added personality to the bees and showed inner bee politics between the queen bees

This is a case of it's a great book has a really good story. But there's a problem, and that's the narrator in that her pronunciation of certain words, well, they are correct in certain places around the world, if you're not from that place then it gets a bit confusing, it draws you out of the story. What may sound proper in it? The United States may sound strange in England vice versa.
or canada the fact is, well, it's a great story and it great performance. It's just, you get taken out of the story, trying to figure out what exactly she's saying when it comes to certain words which disrupts your pleasure of the story, and at times you have that internal argument. I like this book. i wanna keep reading it. But then she says something that in your country is not correct and confusing. And it just makes you wanna put it down and not pick it up. But then there's the story that brings you back

Evocation and it's accepted terms

I thought this was a rather stupid story at first, and the MC a wet rag but I kinda got to like him after a while, although he couldn’t make a decision to save his life. He does grow up and evolve during the story so there’s that.
The Bees are the extremely silly element of the story and I suddenly realised when only an hour was left that I actually got engrossed in the little Bee rivalries and intrigue, small as it was.
So I’ve given the story 4 stars.
Narration was really good and easy to differentiate between characters.

A silly little Bee story, but addictive

This was a fun book. The story was well put together. The ending made me want to continue the story as the author has me invested in the bees, the "bears and the dungeon master. The only problem I have is that there is one whole hour of Author Commentary. Maybe when it was a web comic it made sense to have author Commentary but as an audio book it was a waste of my time to do a book review as soon as I finished the book and have the random thoughs of the author read to me. Yes they went chapter by chapter starting with the prologue. I would mark it 5 stars if it was not for the Author Commentary part. 4 stars with it.

Really fun book.

I admit this is a bit of a slow burn dungeon building book but the title Bee 🐝chapter puns kept me going and made it ALL WORTH IT! I especially love the ending chapter notes from the author and that sealed the deal for me to immediately buy the next two books. I can’t express how much this book enthralled me to keep going and found a wellspring of love for Nature’s Best Fuzzy Pollinators. Absolutely worth getting for a fun listen 🎧

I am ALL FOR THE BEES🐝 !!!!😆😆❤️

The puns were nice. The Story flowed well and the characters including the bees were memorable and the emotions they had were palpable. It made for emotional moments that the listener could feel the rage, loose, excitement and many other emotions that were conveyed in scenes. The voice acting was good as well. A nice range of voices for the characters.

Love the Story
