Great story but subpar narration

This is a great story. An isekai in space!

The only problem is that the narration is kinda bad. The narrator doesn't seem to have much range and resorts to talk through clenched teeth for too many characters, making them sound like they are snarling with anger.

That being said, I"ll take what I can get. I love the fact that more light novels are getting audio versions now. I absolutely love light novels, and this gives me the option to listen to some of my favorites while driving or in the background while doing other things.

Pleasant Gem

Fred Berman is easily one of my top ten narrators, so I knew the performance would be 👍🏾. the story caught me off guard and was very pleasant and good! Now I have to buy credits to continue this journey!

Pretty Solid

This was actually pretty fun to listen to. The way he handled the misunderstanding with each of the girls was a bit cringey, but at least we didn't have to listen to any sexual details, since those always end up sounding like the fevered imaginings of a sixteen year old virgin. I mean, this is still teenage wish fulfillment fantasy, but sometimes it's good just to indulge in some junk food now and then.

The intro and outro are amazing

Love the story but the intro and outro music just build anticipation for starting and completing the novel. 10/10 narrator on point, interesting story, loved the whole production.

A great adventure marred by a gross jerk

I loved the manga despite him feeling a bit womanizing. But in the light novels, he comes across as even worse. Book one isn't horrible, but in book two, you just hate him for being so gross. I think I won't read any more of these after the first 2 books, but I'll still try to check out the manga.

The narrator is very decent, just not my personal favorite style. He does the main voices really well, just not the most of the side characters. Most importantly, I think he captures the personality of Hiro really well.

This is what I was looking for!

Read the books and love them, like the inflections for the voices. Keep up the good work and look forward to more from this series and others! One criticism tho if it's possible, have a woman play the play the girls voices. The actor dose a good job but it would sound better, but I'll keep listening regardless and understand if it's not possible.

A fun and undemanding isakai

The kind of story that isn't isn't going to surprise you but if you're reading reviews trying to figure out if you'll enjoy it then it'll almost certainly satisfy you. The narration is great and the story and world a lot of fun even if there's some questionable choices when it comes to interpersonal relationships from the characters
