Publisher's summary

Wrong number. Right guy?

Once upon a time, Maggie Cooper lived for adventure. Jumping out of planes was child’s play. Now she can’t even work up the nerve to ask out her coworker. For a bit of self-therapy, she begins to text her recently deceased mother’s phone - the only problem is that the number has been reassigned and for weeks she’s been unknowingly texting a stranger her deepest thoughts and feelings. There have also been some not-so-deep texts, like the ones about her appreciation for her coworker’s butt.

When Chase Beckett, the unsuspecting stranger who has more in common with Maggie than he’d like to admit, texts back, Maggie is beyond mortified. But message after message and night after night, Maggie realizes that Chase’s wit, charm, and advice are exactly what the doctor ordered. Is it enough, though, to get her back up in the sky? And what about her heart? Can she risk taking a leap of faith for the man on the other end of her accidental texts?

Wonderful

It was a wonderful story about people grieving in their own ways and finding love. I cried and laughed with characters. The narrator was great and really made the story come to life. If I could I would have given this story 6 stars.

Great story and narration.

Good, clean, swoony, romance. Loved it. Didn’t want to put it down. And Holly Warren is one of the few narrators that I like and who doesn’t ruin the story for me.

Perfect!

I loved this book! It had so many emotions to it. I love the characters and their story. Becky Monson hit a home run with this book for sure! As I was reading I kept picturing how cute this would be as a cute Hallmark movie.

Clever premise

While in reality if this happened. It would be weird and very strange. However, Megan and Chase story was told with so much love and understanding of bereavement.

I would have liked for the author to have made a series for this book. The author wrote Devon and Hannah characters really well and so it is a shame we do not get a story about them individually or together.

So much to explore in regards to Hannah and Devon (Megan brother).

A sweet story.

I really liked this book, mainly for its simplicity. It was a sweet, simple story.

Such a great story!

I really felt the pain in this novel. I’m very close with my mom and I cried so much when the main characters were talking about losing their mothers. Then was so giddy with the ending.

It is a beautifully written clean romance story.

I’m so glad I took a chance on listening to my first book by Becky Monson and will look for more by her.

Wonderful rom-com after death in family

I lost my mother at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, so this story was especially sweet to me. After both characters had lost their mothers, they found each other. I found myself laughing and then crying a little. It made me miss my mom, but in a nice way. Truly romantic and very funny! I am going to listen to more books by this wonderful author!

Right in the feels

I love the thought of being able to “talk” or text when someone is already gone. This is a great read for anyone who knows what grief can do. But also what’s on the other side of grief.

Adorable

As much a story about grieving as it is a story of hope for life and love after loss. An adorable romance.
