However, when Brooks' estranged father falls ill, the pair are thrown together, and sparks fly when the old friends butt heads about almost everything. But despite the tension, it doesn't take long for Brooks to recognize that maybe he made a huge mistake letting Gracie go all those years ago. But is it enough for him to let his guard down and admit he was wrong about relationships and give Gracie the prom night she always dreamed of? Or, will they miss out on the love that's been right in front of their faces the entire time?

Holy Crow this Book is Fabulous!

Jennifer Peel's books are all amazing and she always has a way of capturing beauty in all the feelings and emotions her stories bring forth. Facial Recognition is one of my favorites! Gracie and Brooks story hit the spot with its wit, humor, emotional moments, and relatability. The narrator, Allyson Voller had a magical way of bringing the characters of Facial Recognition to life. I felt like I was a part of Pecan Orchard while listening to this book. I laughed so hard, especially as Gracie's hilarious inner dialougue and witty comebacks were vocalized. I recommend listening to this one! You won't want to stop. It is that good!

if you haven't already discovered Jennifer Peel's books, do yourself a favor and read of listen to them! they are clean while bringing heat and engaging all the emotions. The biggest plus of all, they also make me laugh!

Sweet, Clean Romance

Jennifer Peel does it again with Facial Recognition! This book is sweet and spicy while still being a clean romance. Brooks and Grace are relatable and intelligent characters. I loved getting to know Grace’s sweet, spunky side while she planned her high school reunion and gave Brooks a run for his money!

Oh Crow...so good!!

Jennifer Peel’s stories never disappoint!! They make me laugh and cheer for the characters as they navigate some of life’s hardships. In Facial Recognition Grace falls in love with Brooks at first sight but life doesn’t go how she hoped. Years later they reconnect and have a second chance to work through past heartache. Grace is darling and you can’t help but hope Brooks becomes the man he was meant to be. While the book is a lovely escape it left me wanting to be more like Gracie!! To be comfortable with myself and live life free of others expectations. Definitely worth listening to this book.

Love this book so much!

Such a fantastic story from Jennifer Peel! The narrator really brought the characters to life! I will definitely be listening to this again.

A fun, sassy book with a second chance

4.5 stars.
Gracie is a sassy character that lives her life without apology. I love some of her lines and that she doesn't settle but challenges Brooks. Brooks is definitely a love/hate kind of character. I really wanted his self reflection to get moving and sometimes I felt he was regressing instead of progressing. Lots of forgiveness and finally dealing with the past are needed before Gracie and Brooks can find a happy ending. A good reminder that both love and forgiveness are powerful emotions.
I thought Allyson Voller did a great job of creating a voice for Gracie. Occasionally it sounded a little robotic but overall I enjoyed the sass and twang.
I was given a free copy in exchange for my honest opinion. Listened at 1.2x speed.

Loved this story!!

I absolutely loved this story, and the narrator did an Amazing job of bringing this story to life.
Take a break and fall in love with this great book! The characters will have you swooning. This book left me with a huge smile on my face, and I couldn't stop laughing and smiling throughout it!
Jennifer Peel is one of my favorite authors. I highly recommended you check out not only all her audios, but her books as well.

G&B forever!

I loved this story as a book and I loved revisiting it again as an audio book. Even though I’d read it, it’s always amazing how different things stand out in the audio version. Gracie and Brooks are just as fantastic as ever. I love the chemistry and how Grace’s sassy personality contrasts with Brooks more broody one. Another fantastic story from Peel!

The Voice is never wrong!

I first read this book and then had the opportunity to listen to it and loved it both times! The nararater did a fantastic job. I have listened to her before and love the sas and spunk she adds to the story. Jennifer Peel is an all time favorite you can never go wrong with her books. As for the story Gracie is the girl you can't help but love and want to be her friend. As a product of my grandmother's influence growing up I understood all the General Hospital references 😁. Brooks is the broody sexy type and once he finally opens his eyes makes for a great book boyfriend 😊. Although my favorite character is Gracie's dad who is the silent but strong supporter.
