Publisher's Summary

Whalen Vankin is the world's greatest wizard, and he has only ever personally trained two other wizards. One is Alexander Taylor, a young man who has earned a reputation as a brave adventurer, a warrior, and man of honor. The other is Jabez, Vankin's nephew and a man whose choices have led him down a different, darker path. Dark magic has covered Westland, and evil is stirring. Whalen and Alex must journey together into the heart of danger, confronting a sea serpent, battling their way through a goblin army, and facing down more than one dragon.

Alex must find the legendary Axe of Sundering, the one weapon that offers a chance to defeat Jabez and protect the land from the dark wizard's plans. But finding it will be an adventure of its own as the only pathway to the Axe leads through the underground tunnels and secret passages of Castle Conmar. But Jabez has one final weapon at his disposal: the powerful Orion Stone, which could spell the end to Whalen and Alex both.

Why ruin a series by switching up narrators?

I'm so disappointed! I've started the book over 4 times, just trying to get into it. The narrator leaves me wanting.

Narrator

Needs a new narrator one that can express Joy and any emotion other than drama , sorrow and anger

Yay! Production by Shadow mountain again.

Great Narrator, just like the previous books.

I read books 1-4 a couple times, then listened to them at least 3 times while waiting for this book. :)

Alex is pretty powerful but he takes on greater challenges, so thats fine.
Very good book.
Books 1-3 are still my favorite. There was more suspense I think.
-Whereas now (also a little in book 4) Alex is
A dragon and well, powerful.
-Also his O-gash seems to kill some of the
suspense as well, giving Alex
answers when it should let him just figure it
out maybe.

Yet this book is awesome because our main characters story continues. And Whalen is more involved in this book.

M. L. Forman please write a book 6!
I think Alex should go on a bunch of new adventures as the leader and he can help;
train the new kids in his group,
bail them out of trouble,
And enforce the values and honor as he travels throughout the land as usual.
-And if needed you can have this new
adventure in book 6 something real big and
worthy of his time.
-OR, it can be like a spinoff book, where Alex
Has downtime and just helps on adventures
just for fun! Why not. :)

Wish he’d performed the last book.

This narrator was TONS better than the last one, I really wish he would go back and perform the Sands of Nezza

Don't Let This be the END. PLEASE

This was another great book. Better then the last book. But i hope and pray that this isn't the last book. I know M.L. Forman has a few issues and troubles but i hope he can find some way to write some more books. Alex deserves more! that being said this was incredibly enjoyable to listen to. It was so hard to put down. The worst part was is that it is over. I do wish they had brought back a few adventures from other adventures but i enjoyed meeting the new characters.

Amazing end to an Amazing Series

Forman did a great job rounding out the series but leaving it open enough for more if he ever wants to add more . I would recommend this to any one young more a bit older ....

Not as developed as the previous four books

little reference to previously established characters and props such as elves living in the magic bag. Story was good, just seamed to lack details and connections to other fun outside character relationships.
