Would you try another book from L. J. Smith and/or Kate Rudd?
Yes. I love LJ Smith and Kate Rudd did a very good job in the narration.
If you’ve listened to books by L. J. Smith before, how does this one compare?
This book is very different. This is the grand love story of the Night World series. Thierry and Hannah have loved each other through all of Hannah's life times but she never makes it past 17. Maya, the first, oldest and most powerful vampire, wants Thierry for herself but Hannah is always there to keep him from her. So she tries to destroy Hannah's soul so she can never return!
Did Kate Rudd do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Kate Rudd did a very good job, I just felt this book was supposed to be more romantic and heartfelt and it just wasn't in that realm for me in the narration.
Do you think Soulmate needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes! I just don't think it'll happen.
Any additional comments?
I learned that the last book of the Night World Series "Strange Fate" has been lost. LJ smith has written it but for some reason or another it has not been published. To my understanding this has been the case for close to 10 years. I am sad to say that at this point, you will be enjoying the Night World stories and characters without the ultimate closure a reader, a customer or a fan would expect.

It wouldn't let me finish the end of the book. And every time I tried to finish it it will tag the book as finished. Grrrr
Good story. The narrator did a good job as well. i know the series sells as 3 stories per book and wish we could buy them loke that for the price we pay per book. Too expensive.
