Clara Gardner has recently learned that she's part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. In Ava’s dreams, her son, Noah, looks just the way she remembers him: a sweet two-year-old in rolled-up jeans and a red sweatshirt. When Ava wakes, the agonizing truth hits her all over again. Noah went missing two years ago, and his body has never been found. Almost everyone, including Ava’s semi-estranged husband, Wyatt, assumes the boy drowned after falling off the dock near their Church Island home. Ava has spent most of the past two years in and out of Seattle mental institutions, shattered by grief and unable to recall the details of Noah’s disappearance.

good but not the best of the best of the series
The narrator was good and the story was as well, but the interactions between the characters can be frustrating. The main character never seems to know what is going and neither do most of the characters. The ending ties things up nicely for the series.

Different narrator?
I enjoyed the story, but found the narrator difficult to stay with. Her voice is nice enough, but I found mispronounced words/names annoying. I read the previous books and don't know if she narrated them as well.

I liked the first two alright- I couldn't finish this one though. Something was definitely off on this book and didn't match the other two very well. The narrator was very monotone too.

WHAT HAPPENED!!!!!
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I LOVED BOOKS 1 AND 2 BUT THIS BOOK WAS AWEFUL. I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THERE IS A WAY TO MAKE THIS BOOK BETTER.
What was most disappointing about Meg Cabot’s story?
ALL OF THE CHARACTER JUST ACTED SO STUPID ALL THE TIME.
What didn’t you like about Natalia Payne’s performance?
SHE SOUNDED TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM HOW SHE SOUNDED IN BOOK 2. I JUST DIDN'T LIKE THE CHANGES
