Publisher's Summary

How hard could it be?

You're back? And you want to know what happened next? Well okay then, pull up a chair, and I'll tell you what went down in Minot.

Yes. North Dakota. That Minot. Just goes to show not all the strange is confined to the big city.

We went up there looking for the missing daughter of a friend of mine and wound up neck-deep in trouble when instead of the missing girl, we found a drug ring.

And a mind-controlled cult.

Ruse did something stupid, Cougs got jealous, Kahni caused trouble, I got arrested again, and by the end of it, half the town was gunning for my hide.

Interested? Well grab a drink and some snacks, because you'll never believe this....

Warning: This book has adult themes including a slow-burn harem and violence.

pretty good follow up

the plot and story were good. I'm not really a big fan of drug ring or PI/noir stories but the super hero angle and setting makes it more more interesting. There was a technical issue the voice actors tracks are not lined up correctly in ch. 15 it's not un-listenable but nearly.

Weird audio issues around chapter 15

I'm putting this book on pause for the moment until the audio is fixed. So this is a review of what I've heard so far.

Short Stacks personality is a little too back and forth. Sometimes it's clear as to what drives him, and other times his focus seems misplaced. As for what I'm seeing from the other characters, the ladies character development gets put on hold to introduce someone new that I personally find a little boring.

I'll give it a month to fix the audio issue and come back to finish my review. I really liked the first book and I'm hoping this book will live up to that.

Great book

I really enjoyed the story in this installment, will definitely be picking up the next book. Audio issues in chapter 15, very annoying but relatively brief. Doesn’t ruin the book since it only lasts for about 20 minutes.

Really love what they did with Andy!

This was a wonderful follow up on previous work with significant development for Andy! it also resolved or developed some of the questions left from the previous book. I highly look forward to the next book and am debating buying the ebook now or waiting for audiobook considering the amazing vocal work. Only problem was some volume issues on couple of chapters, nothing major just a little quieter on a few not enough to turn up the volume, just noticable change.

Epic fun

Masterful performance!

I love the book, it's a great story, but Daniel and Rebecca bring it to life. They do a great job and I can't wait for book 3.

One helluva ride!

Cebelius is fantastic as always with his quick wit and fantastic pacing will keep your listen for just ooooone more chapter.

That is saying nothing about the phenomenal cosmic powers of Dan and Rebecca.
Seriously the voice of Cougs makes me weak in the knees...

Do yourself a favor and check this out!

Cars, Bikes, and Superpowers

Certainly a great series. Very different from his other series, but nonetheless wonderful.

Cannot wait for book 3 to hit audio!

Great sequel!

I loved everything about this book. Only issue is that in chapter 15 the audio was delayed and overlapping.
