Finally stopped "thinking" about the gym and went!

This book is PERFECT for beginners or anyone who wants to get in shape but cant muster the courage to walk into a gym. It gives great examples I can relate to that were preventing me from giving a gym a try and gets straight into simple training basics and excercises to help you build an easy workout plan so you're motivated, excited and feel like you know what your doing when you go into a gym with no experience! It comes with a great downloadable pdf that provides a description and photo for every move. I mix and match 8 of his excercises i want to do every other evening and know exactly what to do when i get to the gym the next day. The book gets right to the point and kept my attention for additional example stories that really helped motivate me to give strength training a try!

ready to start now!

really enjoyed the chapter hearing from other women who were unsure about lifting weights at first but had great results. i think i had every one of the same hang-ups as them so this has given me more confidence.

Ok for beginners

The advice given is sound. However, you can find the advice through other sources. This book is appropriate for beginners or someone feeling timid about combining nutrition and exercise to improve fitness. It does not work for someone who it trying to "up their game" or learn something new.

Lifting weights is for us women too!!

I’ve only been doing weight training for 2 months and already I’ve lost 10lbs. This book has some great advice and has given me a few new exercises to try.
