A realistic storyline, that brings out all the feels!

This is hands down a welcomed surprise! I like to go into all my audiobooks and reads blind. I don’t read the cover and I despise spoilers. Having read and listened to the other fabulous books by Nevessa Allen, this was not what I expected. It is a gripping, emotional, slow burning realistic story. I could not put it down! I wholeheartedly recommend this to everyone.

But get the tissues ready. Such a good book with so much feeling. And the banter is the best. She does it so well.

Great story

I like that they faced real issues and discussed real coping mechanisms. It made the story more believable and relatable. I’m so glad they realized their love was worth any struggles they may face and that they wanted to face them together. I really liked all the supporting characters and family dynamics as well. Overall a great story!!

Woof

The fact that this book went under the radar for many years, is a crime. This was a wonderful story, and the voice actors were great! Allen always make me laugh, but this was enough laughter that my deaf cats godt worried. Thank you for this.

Enjoyed

This is one of the most *real* books I've read in a while. The struggles the MC dealt with were no joke. It was more of a serious book, but the FMC was quirky and didn't let the book pull me down too much. I kept wondering how the author was going to make the story end and I wasn't disappointed. The supporting characters were good, not too many that it bogged down the story but enough that it rounded out the cast. It is told in alternating POV and while there were only a handful of bedroom scenes, they were explicit, but easy to skip over if that's not your thing.

On a side note, the book is marked with several genres, but I would have to disagree with a few of them. It is NOT a Christmas book, although the season changes to include Christmas. It's not holiday either. And literally zero sports are played by either MC, but the MMC is a former athlete.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, not only for its realness but for how the characters handled their issues and how I still got a good ending.
