Very involved romance, loads of drama

I have come to expect the romances for Ms Paige to be more on the real life side of things, more drama than a typical romance. Not what I usually love, but they hold a certain appeal.

The BDSM in these books tends to be darker and a bit on the rough side. Lots of scene work to keep the imagination reeling!

I wasn't sure I wanted to know about Mona and Steven, they were secondary in the first book of the series and easily forgotten. I went into things with an open mind and really found them to be more interesting than first blush would imply. There are a lot of intriguing elements introduced throughout the story.

Again things are less than monogamous and that is not always something I enjoy. I did like exploring the bi-sexual nature of several characters.

Plenty of hot and smexy scenes throughout the book. It is made even better if you listen to the audiobook narrated by Rex J. Silverton. He is uber delicious to listen to, especially when he goes all commanding Dom voice. He has a yummy rumble to his deep voice that hits all the right notes in this spicy read. The female voices are a touch breathy, but not overdone like other narrators. I could listen to him all day long, in fact I did!! I usually speed up my audiobooks but this one I took nice and slow savoring every smexy word!

Overall, this series is a really interesting find. Not my typical romance, but very interesting. Well written and very real life sort of drama and emotions. I am curious what will be next!

Mona and Steven are having a little trouble in the bedroom. Steven is desperate to solve the issues and save his relationship with Mona. Roy is a mutual friends and Steven brings him in for a little fun.

This is a great Listen with a lot of hot steamy sex scenes. Rex does a fabulous job narrating this book, his deep sexy voice brought the book to life.

I can't wait to listen to more book in this series.

Hot read, Great narrator

Since this was given to me, I did not have the chance yet to listen to the first to in the series. This book was fine as a stand alone story, though I do think there may be some good history from the first two that would be helpful for the background of the friends. This was an easy listen, Steven and Mona I have found to be intriguing. I loved that they would do anything to make their relationship work. They were not afraid to try just about anything to find their happy medium. The supporting cast at the gym, Christi, Jake, Roxie and Roy were helpful to them, always had an ear and a shoulder. Roy proved to be not only there for Mona, but you just want to get to know him so much better. He is full of charisma and warmth, much more than I felt from Steven. Definitely made him a huge draw for Mona.

Rex J Silverton...I cannot say what a great voice he has for narration. He makes this book flow easily, distinguishes between the characters, and does a female voice very well. But most of all, the richness of his voice is perfect for the sexiness of this book.

Sex, Some BDSM and More

This is a story about Mona and Steven and their nontraditional lifestyle. Steven is having trouble in the bedroom so he seeks out different ways to cure him of that, for Mona's sake. I cannot expound anymore without spoiling.

There is nothing more to the book than that. If that is what you want to listen to than this is the book for you. If you are looking for something with a deeper plot or mystery, edge of your seat, than you may be left unsatisfied.

The narration was a little bit slow for my taste, so I sped it up - easy fix. Rex Silverton does a good job.

Give me More Please!

Narration - Rex J. Silverton - OK. He has a deep smexy voice.

I'm kinda torn on this one. I enjoyed it. Enjoyed Steven and Mona's relationship, Steven and Mona are a great couple, but Steven starts having some sexual dysfunction! With a little help from some friends, they soon figure out that he can keep it up when Mona gets all Domme on him, but I'm still a little confused. They went really quickly into exchanging their D/s roles. I didn't really get a sense that he was stimulated by being lead around by a leash or that he needed dominance anywhere but in the bedroom. I loved the introduction of Roy into their relationship and that's what I was waiting for, but we get a minuscule taste of that action and are really left hanging in the end. To me, that was the point of the whole book, so give me some more of that lovin!

It's a hot little book but could be even hotter!!!

Submissive or Dom???

Silken Kisses is about having an intimate relationship. Mona and Steve have been satisfied with their relationship in the BDSM world until Steve started having issues. Mona believe that Steve is still in love with his ex-girlfriend until Steve declared that he loves her.

Mona has kept her sexual past from Steve while Steve is trying to figured why he physically loses interest with Mona. Steve knows he is in love with Mona but he can't sexually pleasure Mona.

The good thing is that Steve and Mona have good friends who are willing to give Steve and Mona therapy in figuring out which roles do they play in their relationship: submission or dominate. Steve and Mona also thought that having a menage de trois might help their sex life. Having a threesome does temporarily help Steve and Mona but it doesn't address their issues. It is a question of whether both are going to assume different roles in their relationship.

The narrator Rex J. Silverton, did a pretty good job for the characters. I did enjoy listening to his narration and his voice did keep me entertained. I would love to listen to his voice again in the Silken Edge series.

BSDM at its finest

Even if your not into BSDM this story will get you hot the devotion between Stephen and Mona is sincere and they will do whatever it takes to make their relationship work. Great writing by the author and the readers voice was awesome.
