Loved the story line Christine feehan is a favorite author of mine and it looks as I will be hooked on another book series of hers.....

loved the book but i wished the ending.had more.details was a luttle flat. left me hanging.

Excellent reading!

The story was a little repetitive and I think characters could have been developed a little more but the reading was so good it was easy to overlook everything else.

An interesting concept that has made me look at shadows in a whole new light

Jim Frangione is awesome

Jim Frangione is awesome. Honestly he could read the phone book and I would be enthralled. I bought this specifically because he was the narrator. He has read a lot of JR Ward’s books in the last few years and is amazing. Christine Feehan isn’t anywhere near the caliber of Ward, especially in crafting characters, but the story was entertaining. However, to be honest, if Jim Frangione wasn’t the narrator I may not have finished this book.

I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me ...

And what can be the use of him is more than I can see. Well author Christine Feehan found a use by creating paranormal mobsters. With a shadow affinity. An Interesting concept but hard to accept the violence which seems particularly brutal to explain away why they are in the business of being a good mob. The end justifies the means as the foundation of this family.
The shadow riding concept is all a bit vague - Not clear how squeezing into a shadow works- how do you know where it leads and which are wide enough for 2 people? The family is interesting enough- 4 more brothers 1 sister, and a ton of cousins some apparently having “rider” DNA but unable or not wanting to “ride” shadows.
Also while the Italian accent is charming for words of affection or speaking to immigrant neighbors, the primaries were born and raised in Chicago until training sends them elsewhere in early teens so a little Chicago accent would have made so much more sense. The narrator is great as usual for these dark personalities but a female narrator for the Francesca parts would have added to a lot to the reading. Am sure more will be explained as series progresses. Nice to have something new since she seems a bit stale with the “Dark” vampires and we are out of Drake sisters, Ilya’s brothers, and friends. Also Would love a book that updates us on how Gregori is dealing with his girls - now that is a real family of overprotective uncles!

This book was well cast and ranks high among the books i have listened to so far.

Which character – as performed by Jim Frangione – was your favorite?

My favorite character was really all of the Ferarro Family. Excellent job with all of them.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I certainly hated to have to hit the pause button on this book.

This was a great book and the narrator really made it come to life.

Shadow Rider is a supetb readl. Christine Feehan amazes me with the range of characters and story plots she always presents to the reader.Also loved the way Frangione brings the book alive !
